In addition to skill, Marshall has Braylon's "fight to the whistle" attitude. That's what makes good players great

We almost had 3 guys with 100 yards receiving yesterday. Crazy when you think about the dearth of talent at our skilled positions through the years. We have a chance to have 2 1000 yard receivers this year. If we could block we could be a Top 10 offense despite Chan's propensity to brain fart at the worst of times. ..and a 400 yd passer...who'd a thunk?

In addition to the obvious, which is Marshall's great performance, he's making others better as well. Decker is simply not a great #1 WR....but as a #2 he's one of the best in the league in my opinion. Things are opening up for Decker and he's looking like one of the few good things that came out of the Idzik era/error. I really wish we had Amaro (or anyone at TE) right now. Would help our run blocking (well...Amaro wouldnt do much there, but you know what i mean) and would totally add another dimension. Exactly, we're essentially doing this without a TE threat.

I'm only speculating but I think BM's problem with the Bears stemmed from having Jay Cutler as his QB. Cutler is a whiney, standoffish, quitter, who does not relate well to people, much less his teammates. BM has the exact opposite with Fitz on the Jets. While Fitz does not have Cutler's arm, or raw talent, he has a several extremely important intangibles. These include: toughness, likability; humbleness; intelligence; competitiveness; and he relates to his teammates. BM senses this, and respects Fitz. Hence he plays hurt, and works his butt off, because he knows Fitz is giving it his all. The chemistry on this team appears to be a strong positive, and translates into wins.

BMarsh is AFC Offensive Player of the Week The last time the Jets had one of these in the regular season - 1990. That is a long drought.
