Both great shows; Frasier's wordplay was a bit more cerebral at times, and hence funnier And as Jetworks said the first 4 seasons were gold. I really like Cheers but just watching the Christmas episode of Frasier where Martin had to sing 'o holy night'. Had me almost crying. However watching Cheers it looks old but the jokes have stood the test of time especially Coach.

"News Radio" was the bomb. That cunt who killed Phil Hartman needs to rot in hell for eternity. Totally agree. Newsradio was always hilarious. As to the OP, can you really compare? Frazier was a great character. Include him with the other great characters in Cheers and you get an epic run for a sitcom. His show had only 3 well defined characters and consistently repeated story lines. While I enjoyed Frazier, there really is no comparison. I think you can. Cheers had a few weak characters in my view as do all shows. I don't know if I have seen every episode of Cheers but I have Frasier, although it did get weak towards the end I thought the show was great on a whole. I still don't know which one was best in my own opinion.
