He inherited everything. Has he taken J&J to another level? What has he done, created and succeeded by himself? Cool username btw Bought the Jets for $635 million. Team is now worth $2.6 billion per Forbes. Valuation has increased over 400% in only 15 years. That's pretty good last I checked. and yes, I had to pay my respects to the legend Not sure how much of that has his handprint. Over the past 15 years the NFL has exploded in revenu, TV contracts....etc. So in the biggest market in the US, I'm not surprised the value has increased. I don't hate the guy at all, just temepr my enthousiasm when his business savvy is brought up. And, he didn't pull off the West Side Stadium. Boner pants for life if he'd done it.

I don't know that Woody ever worked for J&J? It was my understanding he made lots of $ in cable TV and real estate, well over doubled his inheritance, and then bought the Jets.

My reaction was somewhat like above when I seen VTN posting a link that says " What, people don't know about this? And I do? This is common knowledge, a news item. It's on cable TV for gosh sake!

They are legit, brilliant actresses. Rooney esp, will prob win an oscar some day. And they own the Giants. What do Woody's kids do? Be richer than you'll ever be? Woody is a great owner and a unbelievably successful businessman. He and his daughters have more money than you can ever dream of. You mad brah? He's got two young boys

Kate Mara was cute as fuck in that Fantastic Four movie. Maybe the only part of the movie that didn't completely blow ass.

IDK I think firing Lovie is going to be a mistake....If he wasn't a Tampa 2 guy I would say STB I think it was a hard decision to make, but it was the right one. Teams were asking to interview their OC. THe OC has spent the most time with their rookie franchise QB. If the OC got a HC job, he would raid his staff for assistants. Often-times, an OC who becomes a HC someplace hires his old team's QB coach as his OC. Imagine the risk to Winston's development if he had a new OC and QB coach in his second season, and also had to learn a new offense. It sucks that Lovie was fired, but in this instance, the owner/GM could have legitimately told Lovie, you were great, but we have to let you go to protect our investment in Winston. In other words, "It's not you, It's me."

I agree that it could blow up in their face. But it is more of a calculated move than a reckless move. I am curious as to whether they asked Smith's plans to replace him if hew was hired somewhere as a HC? Perhaps it is the answer to that question which led to the firing?

Why not offer the OC a raise to make him the highest paid OC in the game?

That would be better. I presume they are giving him a raise to make him HC and are still paying Lovie. So, it would not have been a big deal money-wise.
