This should be a Rex Ryan hate only board, a Mecca for people who want to come together for one common goal of stampin on that fat fucks throat until he turns buffalo blue.
All his fanboys should be made to walk the plank including VTN.

I wouldn't call him an elite player... But I don't think too many people around here are going to complain about Todd Bowles's coaching If Ed Reed wasn't an elite player, I don't know what is, Bowles was a marginal player, at best. Which is exactly my point. If you look at ex players across all sports that became coaches, it's generally not the superstar player tho makes the great coach. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I can't think of any. It's generally the marginal players who make the good coaches, because they understand what it takes to succeed without being physically better than the opposition.I'm not saying Ed Reed doesn't know X's and O's, I'm sure he does. But he was a great NFL player first and foremost because of his physical ability. That's why Pennington would be an amazing coach.

Hated fucking pennington more then what would be considered rational. But always said he could be a great coach. The fact he played with his absolute lack of any given physical talent after the surgery and then another surgery speaks for itself. I though he was some sort of fucking jedi mind fucking people

Read Recite Repeat. How are the new NFLPA guidelines around watching video? Is that limited as well? (as contact is) Little help? I dont think they limit video watching time... not sure how they even could, as guys take video home on tablets and such. As to Reeds transition, yes, many great players have failed as coaches, because they cant translate/transfer and teach their knowledge. From all the reports Ive seen, Reed HAS been doing that already as a player. He's also not being asked to be a coordinator, or a HC, its an assistant position coach job - a teacher and mentor. Id think he should be fine.

I know you were, that's why I addressed Bowles ability as a player and then went on to expand that former players of his talent level go on to become good coaches much more often than superstar players. Keep up.

Heard on a podcast that Eric Smith is the assistant special teams coordinator at the Bills. Rex sure looks after his favorites.
