Firing Mangini is still one of the stupidest moves this franchise made. Excellent talent evaluator and under-rated coach. The players couldn't stand Mangini being too mean to them. Boo hoo. i tend to agree with this. i'm not sure why the axe came down. all i know is schitty kept on trying to have favre throw in a snowstorm in seattle with a bum arm when thomas jones was running all over the place. schitty lost that game and it cost the jets a playoff spot. there's no telling what would've happened had mangini stayed. in one scenario maybe schitty would've been fired and maybe the jets don't trade up for sanchez. the whole favre thing was more than a little strange. the guy was obviously a great qb but it was also obvious he had only one or two seasons left.

That should be it for The Rat!~ rat? maybe if the bellichicken wasn't a cheater he wouldn't have been caught, twice. and how about little joshy in denver. face the patsie organization is completely tainted. it starts with the ownership. did you take a look at devon mccourty at his after game interview? he looks like he's been taking hgh.

I can only imagine trying to control Brett Favre Schotty: Yo Brett...let's put this on the ground; we're mashing 'em - open up play action Favre: No no no - I got these guys - what about that triplets left? I can beat these deebees...I can score, NOW. Schotty: ummm, yeah,...okay....alright...darn Favre: common - you guys knocked on MY door; let ME handle this.

Not only that but they clearly have an organizational problem with PCP. Even after the shit with their #1 Serial Killer went down. Fuck everything about them

Anyone with a brain knows that Rex won with mangini's players. The further away the team got from Eric the worst they got. Mangini was excellent at picking players and had Favre thrusted upon him. He wanted to keep Pennington, we should have. Although we were one Favre injury away from making a deep playoff run though. But Pennington in 2009 would have won us that championship. People are quick to point out gholston as the reason why Mangini was not a great evaluator but I disagree. Everyone and their mother thought he was going to be a stud. He would've went the pick after. The guy knew how to build a team. Go after linemen then go grab your CB. He did it with browns to. I think he drafted Joe Thomas then got Joe Haden the year after.

I'm really surprised Mangini doesn't have a front office job yet. He's alright as a coach/DC, but excellent as a drafter and talent evaluator. A team like Jax or Indy could definitely use him as GM.
