Seems like forever ago but the guy did actually have talent at one point. Loved his first album. Then he became an attention whore. And things have only gotten worse since his mom passed.
Who names their kid North West?

This guy isnt the least bit funny to me, he's a glaring example of the racist, impudent morons (Beyonce anyone?) who have been handed a faux-mantle of moral superiority by self-hating white libs (like Zuckerberg et al) and the racial arsonists. The "oh thats just Kanye" apologists are more sickening to me than he. Cue the FF2@ hand-wringing post.... Jeebus you're uptight lately. That wasnt me. I was... hacked. Green -hackers, hacking Greens account

He is right!!! Those selfish bastards would prefer to help the truly poor and down trodden instead of a POS like Kanye? What is wrong with them? Shouldn't he be able to ride Kim's ass? She is rich. Great artist, PULEASE!!! He SUCKS! Didn't he want to run for PRESIDENT?!?!? Only good thing this POS ever did is give Paul McCartney a shot in the music industry. Why does anyone give him the time of day? Everyone remembers when Disney created its motto, "Creating Dope Shit" This guy isnt the least bit funny to me, he's a glaring example of the racist, impudent morons (Beyonce anyone?) who have been handed a faux-mantle of moral superiority by self-hating white libs (like Zuckerberg et al) and the racial arsonists. Who names their kid North West? I think that really fucked him up. And I know that being around the Kardashians is about the worst possible thing for someone that I suspect has mental health problems. College Dropout, Graduation, and especially My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy are all spectacular albums. I'd sworn him off soon after Graduation came out, his public persona was far too aggravating. So I didn't even listen to MBDTF until more than a year after it came out, when one of my friends more or less forced me to sit through it. There's a run of tracks on there: "So Apalled," "Devil In a New Dress," and "Runaway" that, for me, is the high point in popular music for the last decade. That was at the peak of my Kanye hate and it blew me away. I've tried to separate the music from the clown since then, not always successfully. "Yeezus" didn't help things, I thought it was mostly garbage. I'm looking forward to "The Life of Pablo," but I'm not signing up for Tidal just for that. Kanye's an easy target, and he has certainly brought ALL of it on himself. But he's an incredible producer behind the scenes and has done some great work as a recording artist himself. It does bother me a little that people just see him as some idiot. He's a legitimately talented guy and that gets lost.

No. Your memory is impressive though. I took a course called Pan-Africanism to fill out 3 credits in my schedule. I was raised free of any sort of bias because we were first generation Irish and the oppression of the Brits still weighed heavy on my Dad's mind, and he didnt want to saddle me with it. Anyhoo, I was the only white kid in the class and the Professor was openly hostile to me. I was mystified and too dumb to think along racial lines. One day, a friend, African American chick (and I hate saying that because to me she was simply.."a chick") told me.."dont you see...he cant say what he really wants to say about white people..because you are sitting there.". I ended up escaping with a "c". Bottom line, racism aint one way and I have nothing to feel guilty about. I wont accept it. 40 plus years after Dr. King and we're worse off? Nonsense.
