Flowbee, beard trimmer, and a regular barber buzzer with attachments. Figure I've saved a couple of grand over the last 20 years and I never get a bad cut unlike some of the barbers that butcher you. Apparently my post had the opposite effect of what I intended and brought out every cheap fvck who doesnt pay for anything. My intention was to get a feel from the generous, appreciative dudes.... with hair.. who go to a shop regularly. If you're 3/4's bald fecker who uses a barbers trimmer to give himself/herself/it a quick going over as if you're making people notice you dont have male/female/it pattern baldness..check out of this thread. I have Thomas Jefferson hair. You're either Irish or Black. The most you would need is a bowl and a pair of kitchen shears. I'm eastern European with what looks like a wooly sheep on my head......never underestimate the flowbee. I'll have more hair on my head ten years in the grave then you probably do now.

The same
Chick that has cut my hair for the last 20+ years charges $13 and some change so I just leave a 20.
$20 for a 15 minute haircut seems more than reasonable to me.

$19 for the cut and hair wash. $24 if the hot towel treatment is thrown in. I normally leave a $5 tip. Plus I slide her $50 at Christmas. The same woman has been cutting my hair for the past 16 years. She has magic hands when she gives the scalp massage. Definitely not a looker, but I'd take her hands home any day.

I keep mine very short a 1 on top and a bald fade, i go 2 a month and shave it all with a triple 0 twice in between haircuts. I have OCD. Anyhow I pay 19 and leave 35. But she uses the straight edge for the sides so she deserves it. My rule is 12 to 15 dollar tip on every haircut when you find the one you like. Sometimes more if the spirit moves me. Chicks like my wife are paying 500 on hair nails and other shit at least a month. Leave the 30 you cheap asshole I'm thinking you're right, d1ck. Thats why I brought the subject up. On a side note, if anyone has a place where I can get my hair cut by a sweet perfumed, big-t1tted beeotch who will pretend to like me during the ordeal and listen to my inane blather....I will accept recommendations..and pay any price. There was a place like that in RVC, diagonally across from St Agnes. Can't remember the owner's name, but cute blond with huge rack. Went there all the time. Now I just shave my own head, quarter inch peachfuzz cut. Not worth it to go to the salon with fully clothed strippers...

She uses a No. 6 guard all over. I get a haircut in about 10 minutes. The cost is $13 and I tip $4. Not bad for 10 minutes worth of work. A handjob is extra of course.

I had a barber I used to go to. Neighborhood guy that had been cutting hair for like 65 years.
He was the only barber I went to since I was a little kid. He passed away 16 years ago.
For a year, I tried to find another barber that did as good of a job as my old one. Couldn't. I taught myself how to do it and have been cutting my own for 15 years now.
Moral of the story: Be generous if you find someone that cuts your hair exactly how you like it or cut your own because finding another one is rough.

Also - if you've been in the military, I don't think hair styling is all that important.
