I'd like Heckert or Gamble (the guy I wanted two years ago).
As for HC...
I know it's a pipe-dream, but I think Mark Dantonio would be a great pro HC.

Tom Heckert
Tom Heckert begins his 24th NFL season in 2014 and his second year with the Broncos as their director of pro personnel. He was hired by the club on May 7, 2013.
His responsibilities managing the pro personnel department for the Broncos include scouting current NFL players and overseeing the advance scouting for the club’s upcoming opponents.
During his 23-year NFL career, Heckert, 46, has been a part of 15 postseason campaigns, nine division titles and seven conference championship game appearances. He led an NFL personnel department in each of his last 12 seasons before joining the Broncos as his teams combined to draft or acquire 15 Pro Bowl players during that time.
He most recently served as general manager of the Cleveland Browns from 2010-12. Before joining the Browns, Heckert spent nine seasons with Philadelphia, including his final four years (2006-09) with the club as its general manager. Three of those seasons (2006-08) were spent working with Broncos Director of Player Personnel Matt Russell, who was a college scout for the Eagles during that time.
Heckert was originally hired by Philadelphia as director of player personnel in 2001 before being promoted to vice president of player personnel in 2003.
He started his NFL career with the Miami Dolphins working as a pro and college scout from 1991-98 before his ascension to assistant director of pro personnel/college scout in 1999 and director of pro personnel in 2000.
Heckert has previously served on the NFL’s College Advisory Committee, which advises college football juniors on their draft status, as well as the league’s General Managers Advisory Committee, which consults Commissioner Roger Goodell and the NFL football operations department on key issues regarding player development, scouting and technology.
A graduate of Hillsdale (Mich.) College, where he played defensive back, Heckert started his football career as an assistant coach for his alma mater for two seasons before breaking into the NFL ranks.
His father, Tom Sr., spent more than 20 years as an NFL player personnel executive, including stops in Cleveland, Tampa Bay and Miami before his retirement in 2007. Tom Heckert Jr. was born on July 17, 1967, in Youngstown, Ohio. He has two children: Griffin and Madison.
Eliot Wolf
Eliot Wolf enters his 11th season with the Packers and third as the director of pro personnel after being promoted on May 23, 2012. Prior to his current role, Wolf spent the 2011 season as the team’s assistant director of player personnel and the previous three seasons as assistant director of pro personnel (2008-2010).
Originally named as a pro personnel assistant on Feb. 26, 2004, by then-General Manager/Head Coach Mike Sherman, Wolf spent four seasons in that position.
Currently the youngest pro personnel director in the NFL, his primary duties include scouting teams in the NFL and in-season advance scouting of upcoming Packers opponents. Wolf also is involved with college scouting during the season and is very active in the Packers draft.
The son of former Packers general manager Ron Wolf, Eliot’s scouting career unofficially began at age 10, when he joined his father in film sessions at Lambeau Field.
He has also worked 22 consecutive Packers drafts (since 1993), and nine NFL scouting internships – five with the Packers, three with the Atlanta Falcons and one with the Seattle Seahawks. Wolf has attended 22 consecutive NFL scouting combines.
Those internships and prior “unofficial” experiences have provided significant knowledge. Wolf, for example, is familiar with the history of every NFL player, having prepared details for the Packers for every draft since 1993.
The 32-year-old Wolf filed his first report at age 14 for the Falcons, and has provided valuable information for the Packers’ pro personnel department during previous internships.
Wolf owns a B.A. degree in creative writing from the University of Miami (Fla.), graduating in December 2003 after just 3½ years in order to begin his NFL career before the 2004 NFL Draft. At Miami, he volunteered in the football office’s recruiting department. Wolf is a 2000 high school graduate of Green Bay’s Notre Dame Academy.
Born March 21, 1982, in Oakland, Calif., Wolf resides in De Pere, Wis. He enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Tom Gamble
A successful talent evaluator with a plethora of NFL experience, Tom Gamble returned to the Eagles as the team’s vice president of player personnel during the 2013 offseason after spending the previous eight seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, most recently as the team’s director of player personnel. Gamble began his NFL career in the Eagles front office, where he worked in several different capacities during his seven-year stint with the team from 1988-94. Gamble’s extensive NFL resume includes work in both college and pro scouting, contract negotiations and a stint in the coaching ranks. During his time in the league, Gamble has helped produce 11 playoff teams, including five with Indianapolis, four with Philadelphia and two with San Francisco. In 2012, Gamble oversaw both the college and pro personnel efforts of the 49ers while working closely with general manager Trent Baalke. With assistance from Gamble, the 49ers tied for the NFL-lead with nine Pro Bowl selections and advanced to Super
Bowl XLVII. Prior to being named director of player personnel, Gamble served as the director of pro personnel for the previous seven seasons in San Francisco. In that role, Gamble monitored every NFL
roster with an emphasis on scouting talent of upcoming free agents, while also maintaining continuous depth of personnel of the 49ers roster. In 2010, he was assigned additional responsibilities
in collegiate scouting in order to maximize the use of his talent evaluation expertise. Before arriving in San Francisco, Gamble served as a college scout for the Colts from 1998-04 under veteran NFL executive Bill Polian. From 1995-96, Gamble held a stint in the coaching ranks as a defensive assistant/quality control coach with the New York Jets. He then returned to player evaluation as a part-time college scout for the Carolina Panthers before serving as a pro scout for the Baltimore Ravens during the 1997 season. Gamble originally entered the NFL in 1988 as an assistant in the Eagles player personnel department. He stayed with the Eagles through 1994, serving as a college scouting administrator, area scout, contract negotiator and the team’s director of pro scouting during his tenure. Gamble earned his bachelor’s degree from High Point University in 1987 and a master’s degree from Rowan University in 1988. He grew up in a football family, where his father, Harry, was formerly the general manager (1985) and president (1986-95) of the Eagles, while also holding a stint coaching the Birds tight ends/special teams from 1981-82. He also served as the head coach at both the University of Pennsylvania and Lafayette College. Gamble and his wife, Juliette, have three sons, Tom, Gregory and Matthew.

Unfortunately I believe Idzik is going to survive.
In the head coaching stakes the top two destinations in pro football for Harbaugh are looking less likely.
Miami is keeping Joe Philbin and Sparano is riding a wave of support after his win over the Bills. The Raiders could still go for Harbaugh, but Sparano is making some noise with a good rookie qb as the season winds down.
For Harbaugh, it maybe be down to coaching at Michigan unless Atlanta want him.
I would still like to see Harbaugh coach the Jets, he is as big an as*hole as Belidick, that's what we need.

Wolf sounds like a fucking prodigy who was born to run an NFL team
Guy is only 32 and has already worked more drafts and scouted more players than some guys that are twice his age.

Would love to hire a VP of Football ops above him to oversee things and mentor him a little bit, while he runs the day to day GM duties. At 32 handling the Jets and the media as a GM alone might be too much for him.

Whoever our next GM is even if it's Idzik, they must be more aggressive in FA. Once again, this team is sitting on a ton of money with multiple needs for starting players. Idzik cannot get involved in starting contests again and whoever is in charge needs to realize this team is short on talent and relying on the draft alone will not field a competitive team anytime soon.
LG, OLB, FS, CB, (possibly) ILB, blocking TE, WR, RB, P, QB - all needs going into this offseason. Maybe this is too much for one year.

Eric DeCosta If Eliot vp brings his old man along then maybe Wolf HC : Todd Bowles Harbaugh ToddHaley There's no chance at DeCosta, otherwise I'd have him listed as my #1 guy. The Ravens have done everything within their power to ensure that he sticks around. Promised him the GM job in Baltimore when Ozzie steps down, made him one of the highest paid executives in the league, etc.
