Josh Gordon failed another drug test
FOX Sports' Mike Garafolo reports suspended WR Josh Gordon's reinstatement process has been held up by another failed drug test.
Garafolo makes it clear that Gordon isn't necessarily suspended for another year, but it's not looking good. Collected by the NFL in early March, Gordon's test reportedly came up positive for "marijuana and dilute." "Though the level of marijuana was below the 35 nanograms per milliliter required for a positive test, the diluted sample is considered a positive test," per Garafolo. Gordon is currently living with Johnny Manziel in L.A. Garafolo also reported that several people "close to Manziel" are concerned that Johnny Football "continues to party in Los Angeles, even as his NFL career is at a low point."

WOW! I was rooting for Gordon too.....
I think the Weed thing is bullshit personally its not a performance enhancing drug, but you can't leave it alone for a lil while to get reinstated? I would put the weed down for a lil no hesitation we're talking about screwing yourself out of millions possibly

Now his career might be completely finished. I'm all for weed being legalized too, but you're still talking about a non-addictive substance that only requires the slightest fucking bit of willpower to stay away from, especially when that kind of money is at stake. If you can make the commitment to working out everyday, then why the fuck can't you make the commitment to stay away from weed? |

Weed is absolutely addictive.
So is sugar.
It's a fucking plant. It should not be illegal. And when you can't stop doing something to better your life and it in fact causes you ruin then it is absolutely substance abuse. Anything that gives you a high is addictive by the nature of how your brain reacts and craves it in withdrawal. That's just common sense. Hell people are addicted to running and working out. Only stoners say stupid shit like weed isn't addictive.
That being said alcohol is literally poison, as are cigarettes... They should be illegal before we'd is illegal.

Weed is absolutely addictive. So is sugar. It's a fucking plant. It should not be illegal. And when you can't stop doing something to better your life and it in fact causes you ruin then it is absolutely substance abuse. Anything find you a high is addictive. That's just common sense. Hell people are addicted to running and working out. Only stoners say stupid shit like weed isn't addictive. Because it isn't I can drop weed like it isn't shit. But make me go more than 2 hours without a cigarette and I'm ready to cave a motherfuckers face in. When you run out of weed, you may get the urge to smoke when you're bored or something. "Gee, wish I could get stoned right now". But you aren't in physical pain or anything from a lack of the shit. It's not like being a crack addict or a smackhead where you would seriously consider putting a dick in your mouth or committing a serious crime to get a fix. Just don't do the shit. Simple. Like I said, only requires the slightest bit of willpower to neutralize. |

A buddy of mine is a big stoner and he always has somethin to chime in on this weed issue in football, he comes out with all the excuses under the sun to defend it. The way I see it, there are two types of weed smoker.....chronic and social. Your social "every now and then" smoker can drop it like a bad habit and walk away from it as and when they see fit. Your chronic user becomes dependant after years of abuse and can't face the reality of a normal day without it. It's like anything else in life, if you chronically abuse somethin for years your body will crave it when you try to withdraw it. |

There's no chemical dependency to weed but it is habit forming IMO....leaving it alone is more of a test of wills then it is dealing with withdrawal symptoms...

Haha. What a recipe for success.
I smoked my fair share. It is not physically addicting like heroin or something else that gives you withdrawls but it is mentally addicting for sure. I know people that get pretty antsy when they havent had a rip in a while. And it is a gateway. You get high and you want to try other things. And the shit we smoke today is much more potent than what our hippy parents smoked.

And I can say without a doubt it's not addictive. Even when smoking on a daily basis, I always had no problem dropping the shit for 30-40+ days when I had a urine screen coming up at work. No withdrawals, no nothing. Life went on as usual, I just wasn't baked. Biting your fucking fingernails is more addictive than weed. |
