So they did try to move up to 20! Mac didn't budge. The myth that' no one will trade up with us is just that @drewfromjersey not a rumor. Cowboys offered 34/67 for 20. Covered in MMQB by King - he was in the room with Dallas Smart move passing that one up. Too far down to drop, especially when Lee - who could easily have gone top 15 - was still on the board. I'm usually keen on moving down to add picks, but I am glad that Macc stayed where he was and picked Lee.

Don't see how that's such a sweet deal Screw moving down 14 spots and completely out of the 1st round just to pick up a 3rd round pick.

I was thinking we still could have picked up a nice OL prospect at the top of the 2nd, but the compensation there is really not enough.

Supposedly the Jets tried to move up to get Lee. Not sure if that's true but they may have had him ranked very high. It sounds like we did -- if you heard Macc on the Michael Kay show this afternoon, he mentioned that they thought Lee might go to Atlanta at 17. We heard during the draft that they were trying to move up to 15. At the time, I thought that maybe we were trying to get Taylor Decker who went 16 to Detroit, but after hearing Macc's comments today, it sure sounded like Lee was they guy they had targeted and tried to get ahead of the Falcons for him. He also commented that they had an offer on the table at 20 to move back, but they liked Lee and took him instead.

I was taking my kid to baseball practice and just caught the very end of the interview. Was going to check out the podcast later. But it if that's true, I love that they tried to move up, failed and got him anyway at 20. Maybe somebody can confirm this but I heard that Chris Ash, former D Coordinator at Ohio State (now head coach at Rutgers) was on Fatsesca's radio show and said that of the 5 players from Ohio State that went in the first round, he things Lee has the most upside.
