two things...wheres the market for this?...and u were invited to a party?... Uber, Lyft and every cab driver in the city. They will all be out of work in 5-10 years. Over the road tractor trailers will probably take a little longer. I find it hard to believe governing agencies are going to allow this to happen. You know how much lost revenue this is going to cost cities and states? All of these jobs will be completely eliminated. That eliminates the NYC TLC and all the fees and expenses they collect from drivers on the road. Not to mention all the people they employ. And forget about handing out speeding tickets and traffic violations when the robots are running the cars. All lost city/state revenue. The technology may be there in 5-10 years, but no chance in the world it becomes the norm. Not any time soon. Not if the government has any say (and they do). There will be very strict rules for these robot cars that hopefully fail miserably.
