This sentiment has gained a bit more traction with me, TBH. While I'm not looking to necessarily support Fitz, I did feel that despite his horrendous back to back games that an equally big problem was the defense, specifically the back 7 and their coverage schemes. Given the statline Fitz put up today, that belief has firmly been cemented for me now. He was good enough to win, despite a near INT and maybe having a drive stall. The bigger problem was the inability of the D to stop Pittsburgh.
I know the 4th and short from midfield has everyone up in arms (rightfully so), but the TO bothers me more. If I'm the owner/GM sitting there watching my subordinate (who is supposed to be better versed in this stuff) doing that, I want to know what the reasoning is. Presumably, it was that he 'sawsomethinghedidntlike'; to which I as the owner/GM say, 'well, TD anyway, stupid, so much for your keen football intellect there. So let's stop trying to overthink these things, preserve those TOs, especially after there's already been an official stoppage in play, and do what I'm paying you to do, coach and win games.'
The 4-3 hybrid experiment has to be abandoned as well at this point. Fact is, it's truly hindering the team. Basically, you're saying that you plan on beating the other team's 5 300 pound guys with your 4 300 pound guys. It's obtuse thinking. And all it ends up doing is causing a stalemate in passing situations that puts further strain on a suspect back 7.

Other than Shelly getting Rapesburgers fumble how many times did the Jets vaunted defense get to him? He had all day in the pocket to pick the Jets apart.

The most disappointing thing is that Woody tried to do things the right way by getting outside experts to help him hire the GM and HC. But this season it looks like Bowles has been promoted past his pay scale. If Woody does make a change, I wonder how he will go about finding a new head coach. Maybe he can let the GM make the decision....another guy who I have no confidence in.

Well since there seems to be a lot of people on board with this idea, it's time to ask the question. Who would you want? I have a feeling I'll get crushed for this one, but my first call would be to McDaniels. He has experience as a HC(though limited and not particularly good). I think he's extremely smart and would learn from his previous mistakes. A close, and very close second for me would be Sean McDermott. Chan Gailey interim and worry about the HC hire in the offseason because this season is already done. Bowles is in so far over his head.

That's just embarrassing. Just brought him up in the bills rams game the punt decision. Oh bills just won 3 and 2. Lol

I wonder if bowles is reluctant to bench fitz until he has petty back healthy? Thats prob wishful thinking.
In fairness, a lot of drops today on offense killed drives. I cant blame it all on ryan. Our secondary though....there is no excuse/explanation...

So all the Macc and Bowles dick sucking two weeks ago is off the table? This regime was never "great". There's been a couple of nice moves but a schedule filled with confetti last year masked a lot of issues. A LOT of issues... Starting with the "old boys club" on offense. Mangold, Fitz, Marshall, Decker -- GET THE FUCK OUT Decker?

I heard he is courting the winner of the Madden 16 Championship game last year. He'd be a good choice to come in and develop Petty.

Blow the fuckin thing up and trade some overpaid starters for stockpiling draft picks...
Everyone is on the block....Marshall, Fitz, Revis, Mo, Decker....all of you overpaid underperforming lazy cocksuckers.
As Lou Holtz once said, you improve motivation by removing the ones that aren't motivated.

Well, here we are again. An older "win now" roster that isn't winning now. Now the question will be if Bowles gets the chance to be the HC to lead this team through a complete roster rebuild? This sure doesn't look like a well coached team. I can't imagine Woody fires Bowles after this season, but if he doesn't what are the expectations next year for Bowles? If you are going to gut this roster and get younger can you reasonably expect a playoff season? If you don't fire Bowles this year you are pretty much giving him another 2 years minimum.
