Well, Brandon, when Cousins had a chance to win a game to clinch a Division Title, he threw for 365 yards and 4 TDs while putting up 38 points against a division rival. And he won the fucking game, Thats how you earn a payday. Fitz, in a similar situation was 16-37 with 3 picks.

I can't figure out why these players and staff are so loyal to Fitzpatrick. It's not like he has been with the team for years and had a lot of success here. Maybe it says more about what they think of the other QBs on the roster than it says about Fitz. A couple of years ago, I met Austin Howard's brother when Howard was a starter for the Jets. It was around the time people were hoping Matt Simms would get a shot. He said that Austin told him that there was no way they could start Simms based on what the players/coaches saw in practice. I wonder if it is not something like that right now with Petty/Hack. This. I think we're always quick to say the CS sucks because so and so isn't starting. Truth is they are with these guys every day, on the field and in the film room. I trust a guy like Gailey to recognize talent at the QB position. Given how Fitz is playing Ithink it says volumes of what they think of the other 2. Geno would have been starting by now.

I think the thing that is getting forgotten is that they did replace Fitz with Geno. If he did not get hurt Fitz could still be on the bench. The fact that they will not bench him now speaks poorly about Petty/Hack more than proves the CS is incompetent or gutless.

In the offseason, we are really going to find out what the team thinks about Petty and Hack. A run at Romo or Cutler would probably signal that the team has no reasonable expectation that Petty or Hack will pan out. It may also lead to the Jets looking at QB in round 1.
