Exactly. $12M for 5 out of 6 shitty games. That's called stealing where I come from. $12M. They paid this fucking guy $12M. Edit: I screwed up quoting the picture, but you get it.

With Smith named the starter this week and Bowles admission that he may go to Hack or Petty once the team is eliminated from playoff contention, I feel like a retool of the roster is on finally on the horizon.

Good Give him 3-4 weeks to show something then throw Petty in. My thoughts exactly. Give Geno 4 weeks until the bye and then it is Petty time.

Ryan Fitzpatrick has really accomplished a lot this season. Who would have ever thought it was possible to get this fan base to rally around Geno, but here we are thanks to Fitz. Not expecting much out of Geno, but there is absolutely no point in sending the the bearded one back out there.

Yep Frankly, this team needs to dwell in the basement for a while. 2-3 years of picking in the Top 5 and then maybe you really have a good, young foundation to build on.

I'm telling you guys now, don't get your hopes up on Petty playing.. I don't think this regime has him pegged for anything but a backup.
I think it's Hack's show come week 10 or 11.

What I really want to see out of Macc right now is a commitment to a true rebuild. Cut Jarvis Jenkins and get a comp pick for losing Snacks. And if there is any trade market for Sheldon or any of the aging vets, get picks for them before the 11/1 deadliine (or Sheldon in the offseason). Macc has to find a way to have more than the 6 picks we have right now in the upcoming draft. I am skeptical, though, that our owner would support a fire sale and truly commit to a rebuild.

By that time we will be on a ten year playoff drought. Depressing.

Agreed If I can get a 3rd for Sheldon, I ship him out the door in a jiffy. Maybe some would see that as selling low, but the guy is one failed piss test away from missing 10 games and it's obvious that we have no place for him when we're trying to stand him up at ILB. And the Jenkins situation goes without saying. He should be cut or traded for a late round pick, pronto.

It worked for Cleveland and SF! Cleveland is utterly hopeless And it definitely worked for San Fran when they brought Harbaugh on board after accruing talent high in the draft for years.
