Doesn't hurt to make a last minute pitch.

Harbaugh to Michigan was supposed to be a done deal. But they are taking an awfully long time to make it official. I wouldn't doubt there are some NFL teams still chirping in his agent's ear. There's a press conference tomorrow in Ann Arbor. We scheduled a press conference to introduce Bill Dbag as the new HC of the NYJets.

I am fine with that...If woody somehow pulled this off Id probably never say another bad thing about him again.

San Fran made a huge mistake letting him walk. We probably won't get him, but I'm glad to hear we tried.

Easier and cheaper to get rid of the coach than it is to get rid of the malcontent players. Anyway, he's officially the coach of Michigan so it is all moot.

He's going to Michigan. How are we fucking this up within literally hours of being on the job? What a fucking joke. So the Jets fired Idzik and Rex, tampered with Revis, and contacted a coach who has already taken the U of Michigan job. That's a solid start to the day!

How is it tampering to say you would have done something in the past if you had had the opportunity? It's water under the bridge isn't it?

How is it tampering to say you would have done something in the past if you had had the opportunity? It's water under the bridge isn't it? Are you talking about Revis? Woody spoke about the future saying he'd be interested in welcoming Revis back. Under league rules that's absolutely tampering because it refers to having interest in a player under contract with another team. It was just a careless statement. Everyone knows that Revis is heading towards free agency again and there's an obvious history with Revis and the Jets so it's not really a surprising statement, but again, under league rules you just can't do that stuff.

I did not listen to the presser but I heard that Woody was asked a direct question about Revis and what happened this offseason. If it was his directive not to sign Revis when Rex so badly wanted him or if it was Idzik who refused to sign him. That's when Woody said he would love to have Revis back and that he would have matched that amount the Pats spent. It will be interesting to see how the league responds to this. He didn't say he wanted him or that he was going to reach out to him. If that is correct that Woody was asked the question and was simply responding to it, then this may be another case of the lousy NY media just trying to drum up drama and make mountains out of mole hills.

I guess I missed that part, all I heard was that he had said if he had known how much he could have been acquired for then sure, he would have done so. Which in itself was ridiculous, like how could he not have known. The whole Revis situation is obviously still a really hot subject

It's also important to remember that 2014 Revis is not the same as 2010 Revis. The guy has come back to Earth. He's still a Top 5 CB in the NFL but he's not on another planet like he was in the late 2000's when he was the CB equivalent of JJ Watt. He's still better than anything we have but he's not worth anywhere near what he's being paid. Geno Smith was completing passes against him for crying out loud. lol
