That idiot from the Daily News wrote something, so that taints it of course.
Could it be true? Is Trubisky good? Or at least, better than Petty and Hack?

I don't think it matters because he's not going to be available when it's our turn to pick. It's the Jets recipe for success. Bad enough to never realistically compete for a super bowl and good enough to never draft a top rookie QB.
With that said, they can go all out and trade a ton for that #1 pick from the browns (assuming the browns are willing to trade out of that spot). Might as well do it, i'm sure all the slots we trade away would have been bust picks anyway.

It takes a team start building one cause Jets have a long way to go, fucking joke.

With the pathetic offensive line we have, I'd be fine if every single draft pick we have over the next 2 or 3 years is used to improve it.
Forget about a QB this year. It doesn't matter who we throw out there at the position, he's never going to last or improve with a bad o-line.

I dont follow CFB much to have an opinion about him.
But if he is the second coming, we will find a way to miss out.

Both Guards are well above average. Tackles are poor, but overall I'd say the OL is far from pathetic. As far as Trubisky, he's pretty athletic and accurate, but it's hard to trust a 1 year starter, at least that high in the draft. And as far as the report goes, the same thing came out about the Browns not that long ago, so I doubt any of its true to begin with.

Carpenter is adequate with better players around him. The LT and RT positions are disasters. There is zero depth. The line needs serious upgrading. It needs to get younger and better.

Have to say, I kind of agree with Frank. I've been seeing Mangold's decline for the better part of 4 seasons, which coincided with his getting slightly older and much bigger. I feel Winters is a JAG at best, with maybe a solid 2-3 years ahead of him. He consistently demonstrated not only poor technique, but poor decision-making, his first couple of seasons, only to seemingly have the light come on (in a contract year). Carpenter is solid, but with all the hardware he sports I worry about him. As noted, the OT situation is a mess and has been for ~3 years (let's face it, Brick was declining rapidly). I would love to see best OT and C in the first 3 rounds. Get another good OL in the following year and you have something. Then you can get a better gauge of who your QB is going to be.

I won't be happy until we've drafted 11 QBs who are high quality backups.

NYJ better concentrated on other areas unless there is a can't miss franchise QB out there....and there isn't.

I think stuff like this, Romo rumors, etc the whole QB discussion -- is an indictment on Macc. He's going into year 3 and we're somehow in a worse position that we were when he got here.
Bit of a broken record, but Mike MacCagnan has a D+ so far in the QB department. He seems to be generally doing good work, but the drafting is getting to be problem. Seriously.

I'm still holding out hope for Hack because he looks the part, that said I liked Petty's hairy balls against the niners, the kid played with guts and passion to win and made some nice throws on the run.
He won me over a bit so I'm pullin for him. We gotta keep takin em though till we catch lightning in a bottle.
