2 teams in LA? Hardly seems feasible.

New logo for Chargers is actually pretty sweet. That actually may be important in The Battle of Los Angeles, sad as that is. The hipsters might flock to the cooler logo.

Fuck you san diego, and fuck you chargers. I mean I totally get why the rams left st louis. They just went back home. The chargers belong in San diego. I feel terrible for the fans. And LA doesn't need 2 football teams. Shit, the rams left LA 22 years ago because of shit attendance, and they weren't making any money. There attendance for there final game in 94 was only 25,000 people. Thats terrible. Now we're going to put 2 teams there? The Chargers first season was in LA and they moved to SD the following year. Just sayin'
For an old AFL'er like me, this truly sucks. SD and Oakland moving. I don't like it, no suh, not one bit.

I feel bad for San Diego. I visited it last summer and had a really nice time. Great place if you have kids.

Retirement is an option. He has like 7 kids and is well entrenched in SD. He never expected to leave/play anywhere else. I can really see him saying, coaching change, not a lot of talent around me and I have made 100 million and don't need to do this shit any more. Rather than keeping a second place in one of the most expensive places to live just to play another year or 2 maybe. Yeah he really isn't going anywhere. One of the Chargers options is the StubHub Center, which only holds 27-30k? Seems a bit small If you looked at the attendance at Qualcomm I'd guess there will still be empty seats in that 30K seat stadium in Carson. They've played soccer in that place, it's a decent location but not an NFL stadium. In the longterm I think the economics will work for this move to LA. Stan Kroenke will make out like a bandit leasing his stadium to the Chargers. He is building the stadium and surrounding retail/entertainment/residential space with the idea of only one team (Rams) playing there and then generating revenue from other events, conventions, concerts, etc. He'll now have utilization by another tenant for 10 games per year. While this is similar to the Jets/Giants the key difference is that this wasn't done jointly by the Rams and Chargers. It was like when the Jets left Shea and came to play at Giants stadium. The Jets were clearly the 2nd class citizen in a blue and red stadium. MetLife is a 50/50 deal. The other thing that some people not familiar with California may not know is that San Diego and LA aren't all that far away. It's not like LA to San Francisco. You can drive to LA from the north county of SD in about 2 hours, maybe less, especially on weekends when commuter traffic isn't there. While the Chargers will have to cultivate a Los Angeles area fanbase my guess is that the diehard fans will still find a way to get to some games. It sucks for the hardcore San Diegans but for the casual football fan and for business folks who want to entertain in Los Angeles they now have the prospect of a NFL game being played in Los Angeles almost every single weekend from September thru December. More fun for the NFL schedule makers too.

I feel bad for San Diego. I visited it last summer and had a really nice time. Great place if you have kids. Awesome city. I'm there at least once or twice every year. TokyoJetsFan lives there. Met him and carlton one year for the Jets-Chargers playoff game.....still one of the Top 10 weekends I've ever had. San Diego isn't a big city but it's unique, it's fun, it has some of the best weather in the whole country and it sucks they're losing their team. Just one pro sports team will remain, the Padres.

Serve killer whale cakes at the concession stands! Too soon?
