Hack done for the day, per Bowles. Also says Hack not given a chance by line sucking monkey balls. Direct quote. -3 passing yards. Start Tebow.

He's better than Hack and he's still in shape.

but I think Macc is safe no matter what. Really? He assembled this roster and he should be the first to go. I personally think it's been obvious that Macc has been assured of his safety since at least the time that the Jets got rid of Harris and Decker. This team really has no shot of winning more than maybe 3 or 4 games this year. Woody himself has said that he's on board for a full blown rebuild and going about constructing the team in a different way than he ever has in the past. I think Macc is around through at least 2018, probably even 2019. Basically just have to hope that he selects the right QB next year if we totally bottom out and Hackenberg looks like doo-doo. That's what his ultimate success or failure as the Jets GM will be tied to.

Scott Linehan would be on my short list One of the better offensive minds in the league over the last 15 years who has previous HC experience. I wouldn't be against giving a guy like that a 2nd chance. Just no goddamn defensive HC, period. It's time for a long overdue change on that front.

Oooohhh...Hammond just cut himself with that one.
Who will nail down that KR/PR job? I'm rooting for Romar Morris - put him in, Boyer.

Nice play by Lemonier. Keep him over Mauldin, who is always hurt.

He's had three years of full drafts, trades, and UFA signings and this is what we are left with. Don't forget he spent a ton of money when he first arrived.

In all likelihood you are right, but if this team is completely non-competitive and tonight is represeantative of what we will see in the regular season, than nobody should be safe. It is one thing to rebuild, but quite another to embarrass the franchise by not being able to field a team that is capable of competing.

I could see Bowles potentially getting the axe, but I think Macc is safe no matter what. And if Bowles is gone, Woody and Macc damn sure better hire an offensive minded coach with a successful track record to work with Darnold/Rosen/whatever QB we draft next year. Gruden tempted from booth by #1 pick and $80M in cap space. Sorry, wrong quote button earlier. Gruden out to long. Just like Cowher. Game's passed them by. Gruden wants to come back though. And it would be such a Woody Jets move.

I'd have no problem if Woody decided to totally clean house The opportunity to coach/manage a NY sports franchise with around $80 million to spend in free agency and let's say, the #1 overall pick in what could be the best QB class since 1983, is tempting as a sumbitch.

He can miss the long ones, just as well as Catanzaro. But for less money. Cut Cat, keep Ross.
