I'm not ready to throw in the towel on Hack yet. He along with Petty, assuming he is not injured will get significant playing time this season, no matter how painful it will be to watch. It's sink or swim time, at least Petty has shown he has a grasp of the offense, is not staring down receivers and going through his reads. It takes time for chemistry to develop between a receiver and a QB. With the current state of the rebuild, who knows what the receiving corps will look like. If you want to see a failed experiment, look no further than the Giants 3rd string QB Geno Smith. At least the Jets cut bait on that flop.

I don't understand why they refuse to give Petty a chance. This kid can play. Seems like this regime lacks balls, much like the previous regime.

Hack looked like poop, but you also have to consider Petty to be as brittle as sunbaked turds at this point. Kid got hurt last preseason and missed time, got hurt in limited action towards the end of the season, and now he's hurt again. There's no question that the Jets are drafting a QB #1 next year (and yes, we WILL be picking #1, no doubt in my mind) and I don't want Bowles or Macc anywhere near this team to decide which one we select, much less oversee his development. Clean house after the season John Dorsey and Scott Linehan...get on the bus. No more fucking rookie HC's or GM's. And certainly no more defensive minded HC's. Just tell Woody to open his purse and bring in an established DC like Wade Phillips or somebody to oversee the defense. Petty played with a broken back in college. He's Texas tough as they come. I actually hope they cut him so he can flourish somewhere else. He's a good dude and deserves a chance at a career. Not to pick up the scraps of a complete scrub. _ calm down...was petty that much better? I feel you have a valid point but I haven't seen BP play starters...or have I?

We have not seen Petty play starters. Not by his choice. But if you don't see the difference between a professional QB in charge of his huddle, calling out defensive schemes, looKing through 3-4 progressions, being accurate, throwing downfield, leading a team versus the total shit show that Hack has been, then I don't think I need to "calm down", you need to start watching. _

I hope they start the QB that will guarantee the most losses. Same here, so that means Hackenberg. Let the season spiral out of control, blowout after blowout, players quit and maybe finally we will be rid of Mac and Bowles.

I hope they start the QB that will guarantee the most losses. Hack could easily lose 16 games. He's awful. I'm going to say it, while not a piece of shit punk, Geno was better than him. _

Why would an agent ever let his prospect client go on Gruden's fluff show if there was even a sliver of a chance that his weaknesses were going to be exposed in any way. Want to watch it for entertainment, fine, but not to evaluate a prospect.
