Yea, rookies have such an impact on the outcome of Super Bowl games. Thats as dumb as thinking 2 or 3 plays in the 1st quarter determines the outcome of NFL games.

not me... hope we see him twice...overrated underachiever... Yeah I strongly disagree. Most are only remembering the last two years of Mo. He's a player that if is motivated can be one of the best in the game. We as Jets fans have seen it in person. This isn't David Harris going to the Pats. This a player in his prime. I would rather he find the proper motivation in the NFC. i'm sorry but he has NEVER been one of the best in the game...Harrison and Richardson had much more of an impact than he ever did...

Harry - Macc and Bowles aren’t taking Mayfield because they know they have one year to turn this around. And They ain’t putting their crappy careers in the hands of a rookie QB. Whatever fans are left of this team should be angry that the jets aren’t going to get one of these rookie hot shot QBs because of the fear and cowardice of the worst GM in the NFL. Year 4 of the rebuild and they have no playmakers, no building blocks, nothing. They overpay for a mediocre 30 something year old never was and become middling 7-9, 8-8, 9-7, fighting for a potential WC spot like they do every so often. Suck it jets. You are done. Pick Denver Cousins. If you’re smart you will stay the hell away from the jets.

That's an interesting take about being afraid to take a rookie QB vs overpaying for Cousins or someone else to save their own jobs and accept 8 - 8 and chase wild cards. I hope this isn't the way its going, but unless you have strong and active ownership (which the Jets do not) who could see through this chicken shit strategy, it is entirely possible. I certainly hope this isn't the case.
