Why do you say this? Everything I've seen he looks like the best QB. And fyi I am not a "fan" of his and can't stand his snacheez esk boyporn spreads and his extremist political views. But he looks most skilled from what I saw but i dont know shit lol Better than jets front office tho as pathetic that is Mayfield is just a shade over 6’0, hails from what is maybe the most simplistic offense imaginable where he rarely had to throw the ball more than 8 yards beyond the LoS, and has legitimate maturity concerns that shouldn’t just be swept under the rug. QB is the absolute last position where you want to have an immature jackass. I don’t think he’ll go the Johnny Manziel route. Mayfield is a much more polished passer than Manziel. But a lot of the similarities are striking. Same size, same arm, same maturity issues, same cockiness, same Heisman resume, both come from totally barebones offenses that feature basically zero pro concepts, etc. At the end of the day, everyone seems to love Mayfield mostly because of his “fire” or “passion” or whatever the hell you want to call it. Jets fans see him grabbing his dick and talking shit to the opposing team and can’t help but fantasize about him in a green & white uniform doing the same to the Patriots on Sunday’s. If we would’ve stayed at #6 and all three of Darnold, Rosen and Allen were off the board, I wouldn’t be against Mayfield. But trading away 3 2nd round picks to get him? Over one of the most polished QB’s to come out in recent memory (Rosen) or a straight up fucking 6’5 240 freak with one of the strongest arms ever evaluated (Allen)? Not a chance If we don’t take mayfield, the dolphins will jump up in the draft and grab him. Supposedly they are in love with him. And he’ll torture the jets, ala Marino, for a decade. Although, like I said, I’d be happy with Rosen too. Allen as a projec scares me. Innaccuracy is rarely fixed (look at Hackensack). Mayfield is a proven winner and reminds me of deshawn Watson rather than manziel. We shall see and it is a crapshoot. Hopefully the draft falls are way and clueless Macc gets lucky.

I still don't understand how this Allen is in the top 3 at all. I think he's eithir gonna drop like Genope or gonna be the biggest bust of the draft. Which means say hello to Jets QB Josh Allen who may be able to strap up a helmet by the middle of Trump's 2nd term... when "we" decide to franchise tag him Cant wait lol I’m more than fine with Allen He’s a risk for sure and his accuracy is a legit concern, but his upside is batshit insane. Guys like Louis Riddick have even said that if he reaches the peak of his potential, you basically have an athletic Dan Marino on your hands. By all accounts he’s a hardworking, grounded kid who obsessively worked on his footwork and touch this offseason and it showed up bigtime at the Senior Bowl, Combine and his pro-day. I think the people comparing him to Hack are way off base. Allen is a consensus Top 5 pick in one of the most top heavy QB drafts in recent memory. Hack was considered a reach when we took him at #51 in the 2nd round. Guy was basically already ruined before he even set foot in the NFL.

I just realized that Darnold looks like a chubby Nuke Laloosh from Bull Durham. We don’t need Fat Tim Robbins on the Jets. Pass.

Not starting a pissing match but do you think drafting a guy with serious concussion issues is worth all of those picks? Plus it’s been said that Rosen is a poor leader and has coach ability issues as well. So it sounds like maturity is an issue with Rosen too. Look, I get that he is the most polished guy there but to be honest, and this isn’t an endorsement of Mayfield, but I am more worried about a guy on the field grabbing his big head than grabbing his little head. 😁 Rosen’s past injuries and dickish personality scare me a bit too, but if he can stay healthy, the dude is virtually guaranteed to at least be a Top 15 QB in the league for the next 10+ years. The way he throws the ball and goes through his progressions reminds you of a young Peyton Manning. Realistically, I think he’s Matt Ryan with a bigger arm. You won’t find many guys who throw a prettier ball. I also love that he’s an old-school, pure pocket passer. None of this running around like a chicken with its head cut off nonsense. He consistently stands tall in the pocket and delivers the ball with accuracy. And even though he’s not very mobile, he shows some of that Brady ability to sense pressure and step up in the pocket to avoid defenders. Darnold and Rosen are still hands down the Top 2 QB’s in this draft. Allen and Mayfield are total tossups. And if I’m gambling on a tossup at #3, I’m taking the kid who looks like he was grown in a lab, possesses generational arm talent, is a freak athlete, and has 3 years of experience in a pro-style system where he routinely took shots downfield. I am on board with Rosen's talent but the "if he can stay healthy" part sounds like it has about as much of a chance as "if Mayfield can just grow a few more inches" or "if Hack can just be accurate". Like I said, if we don't take him, he will likely win a few Super Bowls and go to the Hall of Fame. If we draft him, he'll get his next concussion tripping on the way to the podium to get his jersey from Goodell.

All 4 of these QBs may be great. We’re lucky to be in a spot where we will get one of them. Hopefully the best one.

Have to admit, I've had my mind changed 10 times in regards to which guy we should draft. Today I'm hoping Allen falls to us..but tomorrow...lol.

Roger Goodell: “With the third pick in the 2018 NFL draft, the New York Jets select Quarterback, Mason Rudolph.”
Mike Mayock: “Here is the first real shocker in the draft. I projected Rudolph going in the second or third round.”

Allen discussion starts at 1:30 Lol...those "improving accuracy" comments scared me..lol. Definitely a cause for concern, but it wouldn’t make me shy away from him. All of these QB’s have warts. Despite what many of us believed 6-8 months ago, there is no Elway/Luck “can’t miss” QB in this draft. I don’t even think the accuracy stuff is as big a deal as many make it out to be. Most would consider Cam Newton a legit franchise QB (despite being a whiny cunt) and he’s a 58% completion guy over his 7 year career. I don’t think Allen will ever be a guy who completes 65% of his passes, but he’s going to make a ton of big plays and has the arm to drill 60 yard TD’s on a frozen rope in the middle of a mid-winters shitstorm.

Well thank God the Jets have a well-deserved rep for coaching up College QB's.

Mayfield couldn't even beat out Patrick Mahomes or Davis Webb at Texas Tech yet some of you want to take him as the 3rd overall? ?? No Thanks.

all info right now is disinformation.... Yes, I hear that. Black is White and White is Black? Down Up and Up Down? We are through the looking glass now? Our idiot FO isn't smart enough to play double agent. Did you hear Macc sound like a big moron the other day? I will never forgive him for that hackenburg pick. Or passing on Dalvin Cook. He better not mess this pick up or he's done.
