Okay ... the Jets' QB situation looks interesting ... Bridgewater looks better than anyone expected, and the other two are on-line. But Maccagnan's first draft is probably very telling of exactly what I've been saying about him all along. It looks like the only one of his first draft class people that will still be on the roster on opening day is Williams. All the others will be gone. I don't know what it is with Jets' GMs. The only guy who was a successful executive with the Jets was Parcells. His own teams did well, and he put together the group the Herm took to the playoffs three times. Just don't believe Maccagnan is the man. I wouldn't count Mauldin as off the team yet. Not only might he make the team, he may still turn out to be the starter. I don't necessarily hold Maccagnan responsible for Devin Smith's woes. It's hard to predict injuries and I don't believe Smith was thought to be an injury risk coming out of Ohio State.

Gotta wonder the backstory on that one

Honest question and not trying to defend the dude: When draftees fail, where's the boundary between bad prospect and poor coaching? Maybe part of the problem is our coaches can't develop players unless they're uber-talented to begin with. Dunno, either way, there's a problem somewhere.

Gotta wonder the backstory on that one I thought I remembered that it was Pryor, but I looked it up and it was Jaiquawn Jarrett.
