I wonder if Parcells hyped him up to Payton.

Teddy was not the future for the Jets. I didnβt think we would get a 3rd for him. Cost us Teddy & a 6th but a good deal.
I wish Teddy the best. Class act.

Donβt go all VTN on us. What does that even mean? VTN was Vinnie Testeverdes Niece, a good poster who, after Hillary lost, kinda lost her shit in the politics forum. VTN, if you're reading, please come back.

Should have waited for a starter to get crippled and received more.
You all will regret this. Iβll be sure to bump this thread and mock you.

Now I hope we carry just 2 QBs. Put some schlub on the practice squad.

I give Mac credit for pulling this off he got a 3rd round pick for a QB who is on 1 year deal and a knee that nobody knows will hold up for the entire season. Bridgewater played 3 Qtrs total. Unless the Saints lock him up long term and he becomes the QB of the future Mac got a good deal. I think he copied the Eagles blue print on how to fix the QB spot.

Eh... I'm not really liking this but at the same time, these assholes aint winning a damn thing. Not with these owners.. Not EVER.
Now Teddy is a SICK backup there for NO instead of these losers who will blow that 3rd rounder on a total bust secondary clown
I hope Teddy steps in for Ol Brees and takes them to the SB, I will LOL so fucking hard.

After 4 years, we shoudl have seen enough of Macc to know that he is conservative by nature. Taking the low risk picks at 6: Leo & Adams. Taking low risk shots at guys recovering from injury, especially on OL: Clady, Beachum, Long. Trading back in the draft several times in mid rounds to accumulate more picks, but until this year, never trading up.
He seemed to be more aggressive this offseason, pursuing Cousins, paying top $$ for Trumaine Johnson in FA, and then the Darnold deal. But this trade for Teddy is once again the conservative apporach, which is not necessarily wrong in this case. He could have held on to Teddy for a few weeks/couple of months to see if he could get more prior to the trade deadline. But that strategy was not without risk - Teddy is yet to play more than a half of football in a single week. And he has missed two year due to a horrific knee injury. Had we not moved him now, we would have been taking the chance that the knee does not hold up to the grind of the regular season, in which case his value would have plummeted. Maybe he could have done better by holding on to him, but he still got a day 2 pick, which is a valuable asset. Lets just hope he makes good use of that asset.
