Look, I don't want to labelled as a Debbie downer type, but if you're under some sort of false impression that the Jets turned the corner and became a juggernaut you are very sadly mistaken. The real truth for last night is something like... As good as the Jets played last night, the Lions were equally BAD. The Jets didn't make Matt Stafford throw 5 interceptions. Stafford threw them because he was having an especially bad night. Same with their defense and special teams. The Lions are a much better team than what last night would indicate. The Jets are not nearly as good a team as last night would indicate.I Now, do I think the Jets are getting better? If course I do, I just don't believe one off-season should give anyone that impression that the Jets are overnight SB winners. The Jets did well across the board outplaying the Lions on both sides of the ball and on special teams AFTER spotting the Lions 7 on the first play of the game. If it was more the Lions being bad than the Jets being good, how could that be? The Lions were 9-7 last season. Did the ENTIRE Lions team play like shit in their first game of the season? I guess that could happen but usually there is a reason for that... like a death or the the entire team hates their head coach because they think he's clueless. While we cannot rule out the latter, until we know that is the case, I'm going to chalk it up to the Jets playing well, being prepared, and being a better team than they were last year. Not a juggernaut now, but clearly on their way.

The Lions will be just fucking fine without our sorrow. Did you somehow forget the Jets sick, twisted, fucked up lineage? Can’t speak for anyone else around here but I’d be shocked if I’m the only poster in this board that wouldn’t take Stafford over the innumerable pieces of shit that have played QB for the Jets’s for the last 40 seasons. Agreed except for Kenny O. I still say O'Brien was the best QB the Jets ever had.

There are a lot of good places to eat around here :-) And just wait 'til winter sets in, rednecks up north would love to get some o' that fat matty patty ass....
BTW - I was reading some of the comments in the Detroit local press about the lions. They are hysterical. Most destroy the hapless franchise as they deserve (didn’t realize many call them the Loons). But, one clueless moron was blaming the media and fans for the lions problems. Saying the NY media would never bash the jets like the Detroit media does and NY Jets fans are always behind their team, even traveling to Detroit to do the Jets chant for Darnold. Lololololololo!!!!!! What a clueless jerk. Reminds me of jet homer fans who blame the media and fans vitriol for the Jets miserable failure of a history. NY media not tough? Jets fans supportive??? Hahahaha Havana Anyway, that all seems to be in the past as we are now all in a state of bliss. Or, as one keen eyed poster said, we are either all dead and in heaven or fucked up on opiates. Detroit is a weird sports town. I’ve never seen a fan base and media that loved their teams as much as they do while hating on them at the same time. Or maybe every city is like that. Most of the criticism is aimed at Fatty Matty Patty and Bob Quinn trying to import the Patriot Way

Look, I don't want to labelled as a Debbie downer type... That ship sailed a long time ago. I'm convinced that "mainejet" is a Russian bot created to weaken the morale of sports fans in a major American city.

Bottom line, and this is from a Friend who was born and raised in Detroit, and it was said before the game: "Patricia is just another woefully unqualified Lions Head Coach". Looks like he's probably spot on.

Dude, you sound like a 10 point buck wandering through the woods thinking "Oh sure, the woods are beautiful, the doe's are horny and food is plentiful, but sooner or later some dude in a tree-stand is going TO BLOW MY FUCKEN BRAINS OUT WITH A RIFLE..then what". Jeez

You should have heard local sports radio in Detroit today. Full meltdown mode. Fuck Matt Patricia! This guy is great. I guess he's the big radio sports personality in Detroit. He seems seething mad. LOVE IT! And, no, I'm not ready to stop enjoying that victory yet.

His radio station used to be the on air broadcaster for the Lions games, but he trash talked them so much they ditched the station...Unfortunately, he is a giants fan and seems to lick the taste of tom brady's dick in his mouth... He is fun to listen to, though.
