Can't argue with you at all. Players have short careers and there is nothing wrong with trying to maximize your earnings. But that mercenary attitude comes with a cost -- and in Revis' case, he is not likely to be beloved by any fan base. Maybe after more time passes, fans will embrace him more, but it is hard to erase the memory of the aging vet who didhe not seem to give a shit during his last season as a Jet.
If I were going to the game, I would applaud him for his contributions on the field, primarily during his first tour of duty with the team. But the reception will not be the same as if it will be for a guy like Mangold Youโre absolutely right. The fans love players that they feel do it for the love of the game. Revis was a great player but many Jets fans will remember him as a guy that seemed to love the money more than the game and played like crap in his final stint here. Mangold is a guy that is loved by the fans because he seemed to just love the game. mangold will always get more love from Jets fans than Revis does. I have both their Jerseys and I love them both. But youโre right Mangold would be my favorite child in that scenario.

I'll be cheering.....as soon as someone from the stands throws a battery at his head.
Otherwise, FUCK HIM.

He left because he felt, like many of us prior to the draft this year, that the Jets will NEVER get a true Franchise QB and will forever have journeyman and washed up QBs instead.
I have no problem with him being back.
He probably feels that now that Buttfumble is long gone and this QB we have looks way more promising, he won't get heckled to death like last time.

I know tho I also saw him at a couple of games last yr and at the London game I didnโt go to the London game but I saw he went on my feed

It certainly wasnโt his fault that we didnโt win during his time here. That said, he was also a โmeโ player. But I would still applaud him. He was still one of the best players to ever put on a Jets uniform. See? GATA is not sullied by years and years of rooting for a dysfunctional team. She can still look back and enjoy the good times this team has had without being a cynical whiny bitch like so many Jets fans. She has still has hope. I like that because I have always felt like one day we would finally get our QB. Iโm not sure how great heโll be, but I truly believe Darnold will be a damn good QB for years to come. GATA... youโre ok in my book. One of these days, we will meet up at Hampurcon and hoist a beer.
