who'll be 27...27 is old for a rb..also has missed a ton of games due to injury and suspensions... And? I have no delusions of Bell being here for 5+ years. I’ve said repeatedly in this thread that you give him the majority of his guaranteed money in the first two years of the deal, run him into the ground and then release him before he hits 30. This is all about our young franchise QB and making his early development go as smoothly as possible. Players like Bell in their prime rarely ever make it to the market. You can find players like Coleman, Ingram, etc in FA each and every year. yeah...but does he even wanna come here...

agreed Bell played 62 out of 90 games the guy is a cancer who will only come here and hurt Darnolds development. If he does have a good year he will holdout for even more money take Tevin Coleman less usage younger and isn't a cancer. Not to mention he is half the price let someone else deal with the baggage Bell brings with him. at 27 he might have 2 good years left if that. Is that 62 out of 90 because he missed last year or did he miss 28 games because of injury? he's missed like 20 games from injuries and suspensions...i'm not sure what the suspension is if he gets caught with pot again...

Bell seems like a guy who wants to go to the highest bidder, and set a contract record on paper. Give him that, creatively, where you can cut him after 3 years, and he still gets his per year number.
He doesn't seem like the kind of player who's worried about playing for a particular coach or situation, other than I'm pretty sure he'd like a team that's competitive, vs. a bottom feeder.
I think he's on record as saying he'd like to go to Indy, but they've shown no interest. At that point, who's anteing up the most moolah?

From his 2016 suspension, which was 3 games? He also had one the year before, which was reduced to 2 games for getting caught with LaGarrette Blount. So five games missed over two years?
I guess the first was the DUI/Marijuana arrest with Blount, then the 2016 suspension was for missing a random drug test.
If he got caught again, it would be four games. And probably no chance of a reduction. But at least it wouldnt be 10.

There’s also a local Raiders beat writer reporting that the Raiders have dropped out.

Lataivius Murray just signed with the Saints, meaning Mark Ingram is probably looking for a new home. Possible option if they dont sign Bell?
