This Cowboys game has been very good.
That Hurns injury is as bad as I have ever seen. Forget about playing football again, I just hope they can give him a functioning leg.

The break was above the ankle, from the replay anyway, it is a tibia and fibia. He'll be ready for camp no doubt. Terrible looking and I am sure pretty darn painful but he can recover.

I thought this would be the case. Ugly injury for sure. If Oline wears knee braces why can WR and Qb's wear some kind of brace to prevent this injury? How many this year alone, 3?. The concern I would have if I was Dallas is if he can overcome the mental aspect of it. I'd also keep him from the replay if I could. Don't know that I could step back into a huddle after that injury. Good luck young man good luck.

There was actually a report that T.Y. Hilton, who is dealing with a lingering ankle issue, took his brace off and slammed it to the ground during warmups yesterday. Chose to play without it. Players just don't like them and would rather bet on themselves.

OL dont need to be able to cut on a dime or run full speed every play. Football is not a contact sport, it is a collision sport. Based on that I would say 3 is a low number. I agree, the mental aspect is often overlooked.

I'd like to know what the Seahawks do to coach tackling. I was in awe of their effectiveness at this most basic task that many teams seem not to coach.

With something that painful, I wonder if they give a pain killer on the field. When they carted him off, it looked like his pain was somewhat under control.

With something that painful, I wonder if they give a pain killer on the field. When they carted him off, it looked like his pain was somewhat under control. I thought the exact same thing. My mind flashed to the morphine packs the Medics carried in war. Probably very sparingly used in the NFL context, but they probably have something very strong for the really bad ones like this that dont involve the head or spinal injury.

My wifne, an RN, asked me if they give pain meds on the filed as well. No clue. Hope so as that must have like really bad.
