Who the fuck is this asshole? Jets had 4 months between end of season and draft. Plenty of time to make personnel decisions. That asshole is right this is the time you fire a GM college scouting period doesn't start until August so pretty much your GM and scout Dept are done scouting for 4 months the cycle runs from August until April this is pretty much the off season for scouting and draft so you make the change now so the GM has time to bring his guys in.

Bad members of the media, stoking the fires, are one of the biggest problems in this country.

Guys ... wasn't surprised they dumped Maccagnan the fucking idiot and Humperdinker ... even though they did it after the fucking idiot spent multi millions on free agents and made the draft picks ... because they're the Jets. Anyway ... Gase & Williams are going to be interesting no matter what. And Joe Begningo expects Gase to hire the Eagles guy as his GM. I'm fully expecting Chris Johnson to announce that he's retained Korn Ferry and/or Wolfe and Casserly to find the new GM. I listened to a Podcast this evening where it was stated, although I can't confirm it, that for over 4 straight years Maccagnan basically locked himself in his office and just watched tape of college players, as though he still was nothing but a Scout. He didn't mix with any of the others in the Front Office other than Heimerdinger, who tried to perform most of the GM type duties, many in the FO were essentially rudderless and not really knowing what was wanted of them, which all seems very plausible with the type of Roster this Idiot signed off on every year..."OLine? What's that?". Also, another rumor is that he was about to be fired by Houston when Casserly stepped in, vouched for this fuckin dolt, and got him upped to GM at the NYJ. That's your main villain right there....Casserly. Also, like you always say Willis, "just look at this guy", how the hell can you make him the GM of an NFL Franchise, there are "Tells" screaming from the rooftops that you wouldn't send Maccagnan to the deli down the block to get you a quart of milk because you know he'd bring you back the wrong change.

Can we be honest and say this guy has:
1. Made some good moves 2. Made some horrendous moves 3. Aspergers. How many times would he say "well, uh, potentially, standpoint, potentially, standpoint, quite, potentially, standpoint, quite." Classic case of a dumb person attempting to sound smart by using the same 2-3 mid range vocabulary words he heard on jeopardy.
If the rumor of Douglas and Jeremiah are true, then this is all great news regardless of timing and other stuff. To have three guys running the team who actually share common values, vision, and direction would be the biggest breath of competency we have had since Parcells. Even if they are all 7/10 at their job, at least it would be consistent.

Yes ... heard the same thing about him about to be fired in Houston. Chris Simms said this. Also ... Boomer said that Maccagnan's assistant fucking idiot, Humperdinker was the direct pipeline to Manish Mehta, so expect a lot of negative shit from the daily news because Mehta just lost his pipeline ... good ... fuck Mehta. And finally, the fucking idiot's face is so much in the news right now ... it's a sickening reminder of how big an idiot he is ... and thankfully, in a few days his idiot face will be gone forever.

I really don’t think ANYONE is arguing that firing fucking idiot Mac was a bad move. I believe the argument is timing. Should have shitcanned him same time as Bowles. Now we go through this same circular argument of X GM didn’t get to hire his own coach when Y coach inevitably gets fired. Remember all these arguments? How quickly we forget.

All that I am hoping for is that the Jets have this signed and sealed with Douglas and they can move forward with the announcement. This will all die away quickly.

maybe its cuz he spent the money on Bell? its blown way out of proportion Didn't most of us feel this way about Bell? Great player but too much money for a RB? not sure it was too much for a talent like Bell
