Ok, this one was funny. Trump loves to add those adjectives to the names of his enemies. Steve Bannon cried? Like you, Lena Dunham and. Hilary cried when she lost? Omg. :-) Possibly, but probably not. Trump said it. Still funny how he puts it out there about that dick. And leave Lena out of this.

I'm done with this team if we bring in cousins. We want one of the top rookie qb's.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Giants go OL at the 2 spot. Boy would that shake things up. If the giants are taking an OL in the first round, they're trading down from that number 2 pick to a team in desperate need of QB and taking multiple 1st round picks. They'd be morons to pick OL at 2 and they're not a dumb organization. Look what the bears had to give up last year just to move up one single spot. Same for the rg3 trade. You can be taken advantage of if you need a QB and want to move up.

i'm not saying the comparisons are right but Browns got burned with Manziel so... Part of that was because Manziel didn't give a shit about football once he got drafted. He just wanted to blow coke and party all night instead of do his job. Manziel wasted his own potential because of stupid off the field decisions. I don't think we'd have to worry about that with Mayfield. The kid seems to love football.

Sounds like Trump and that piece of shit bannon aren't buddies anymore. Probably trump's best decision he's made all year to distance himself from that drunk. Seems like you guys are sending him from zero to hero faster than you did Comey. If you ask me... Trump > Bannon Really anyone with a pulse > Bannon

This could be a ploy on Darnold’s part to work a trade to anyone else but the Browns. Browns pick Mayfield 4 and they have our 6 plus some picks. Getter done Mac. _ The browns can have our entire draft for that if they want it.

They'd be complete morons to do that. Get your paycheck now and education later if that's what they want to do. They're first round draft picks, your stock can only go down from there. Ask Matt Barkley about that.

Just give me any QB in the first round of the draft at this point. And definitely don't give me kirk cousins. If we get Lamar or Allen I’ll be their biggest fans but I’m hoping for one of the other 3. But I could see them waiting until round 2 and taking Falk or Rudolph or Finley or Stidham (if he comes out _ 1a. Darnold 1b. Rosen 2. Allen Distant 3. Mayfield Distant 4. Jackson That's the way i look at it. We better not do anything but QB in round 1 though. Hopefully they somehow trade up. You can never underestimate the stupidity of the browns. You can never underestimate the stupidity of the jets either though.

I don't watch much college football, so i didn't see a lot of him. I've seen a few of his games over the years. Watched the other night. But i don't know about this guy. I'm perfectly fine with them taking him at #6 if he's available. I'd much prefer Darnold, Rosen, and Allen, but I'll take the best available QB when it's our pick. I think we really fucked up playing a 38 year old QB and won those early games. I really wanted a real franchise QB like Darnold or Rosen. I just don't think his size and style fits the NFL game. From what i've seen of him, he's a lot like Manziel to me. They both were great in college playing against swiss cheese defenses. I'm not questioning his arm at all. He looks like he has plenty of arm strength. But they run a lot and those guys get hurt a lot and typically aren't successful. It works in college because no one plays any defense in college. Same goes for the accuracy thing. It means nothing when the guys are open all the time and not throwing against NFL secondaries. College stats in general mean absolutely nothing. I just really hate his style of QB play at this level. They don't win super bowls and i want a fucking super bowl at some point in my life. They don't even stay healthy. I really just want a 6'3" or taller, white (yeah, i said it and we all know it), pocket passer at QB. Those are the guys that win super bowls. But pick him if he's there. We're wasting years with 38 year old bums at the position having "fun" staying in games and picking at 10 every year. Might as well see what a young guy with some potential can do. You realize that both Russell Wilson and Drew Brees have recently won super bowls? Look, if you go back to the begfinjnf if this thread all I wanted was one of the 6-4 QBs, wanted nothing to do with Mayfield BECAUSE of his size. I’m still Darnold 1A and Rosen 1B. But I watched a ton of Mayfield this year and the things he was doing had very little to do with “college stats” and all to do with his play. And he’s not a “running QB” like Jackson or Cam, he only runs a few called QB runs a game. He’s an opportunistic runner when plays break down, even when he’s scrambling away from pressure he’s looking to pass first. The dudes a football player. If we can’t trade up for Darnold or Rosen he’s the guy I definitely want. Allen scares me. Could be Wentz but I didnt see it in college. Could be Blake Bortles 2.0. Give me Mayfield. _ Just give me any QB in the first round of the draft at this point. And definitely don't give me kirk cousins.

All i'm saying is history says winning a Heisman doesn't translate at all to the NFL. College numbers in general don't translate to the pros. Just using your example, Danny Weurfel won a Heisman over Peyton Manning in 1996. How is that possible? It's a completely different game in college. Mayfield plays in a conference that plays zero defense which bloats his offensive numbers. It's very easy for a college QB to look great in college, but terrible in the NFL. He's also not a pocket passer. How many small NFL QB's that aren't prototypical pocket passers have success in today's NFL? I can't think of any. And the ones that do have some success, it lasts for about 5 minutes and then they get injured. Edit... scratch that. Russell Wilson is one. That's probably Mayfield's ceiling. That type of player, but it's a reach. A big reach. But i can't think of anyone else. Doesn’t sound like you’ve watched him much. He’s a pocket passer. He’s a spread passer. He is a throw in the run passer. I’ve seen the guy consistently survey the field and go through MULTIPLE progresssions and consistently find the open guy, be it the third fourth fifth or even sixth option. He is super accurate, his arm is a LOT stronger than anyone thought, he’s incredibly mobile, always looking down field preferring to pass rather than run, is incredibly firey and his teammates love him. Oh yeah, lineman in college don’t magically grow 3 inches when they get to the pros. His heights not an issue now and won’t be in the pros. Isn’t for Brees or Russell. He’s a damn football player, has incredible arm talent and will lead men. He’s the anti-Johnny Manziel. But winning the Heisman means zero in terms of how good he’ll be. So wait, was Lamar going to be a bad pro had he cone out last year but now he’ll be a good pro because he lost the Heisman? You’re a smart guy even though a liberal. You see the folly of that logic? _ I don't watch much college football, so i didn't see a lot of him. I've seen a few of his games over the years. Watched the other night. But i don't know about this guy. I'm perfectly fine with them taking him at #6 if he's available. I'd much prefer Darnold, Rosen, and Allen, but I'll take the best available QB when it's our pick. I cannnot see it. The only tradeup I see is with Cleveland if they really love Mayfield and figure they can get him at 4. Holy shit can you imagine needing a QB, having all these guys come out and having the 1 AND the 4? _ After passing on Wentz there is no way the Browns don't take a QB with the first pick. Passing on Wentz was a huge mistake, but they also passed on Deshaun Watson too. The guy was playing like a MVP before he got injured. The Browns could have had a few really good QB's by now.
