Does he realize that none of these guys have much of a chance of making the team? Yeah, bit of a silly tweet.

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about Darnold. I'll just wait until he shows it on the field before annointing him as the savior. Been burned too many times in the past to approach it any other way. Until then it's worth discussing areas of his game that need improvement, IMO.

My big concern with Darnold is that he took all of his snaps from shotgun. Very little if any 5-7 step drop and throw footage on him. This I think is why I preferred Rosen over him, just seems to have a more pro-ready resume. Someone convince me that this isn't something to be concerned about.Well think about this for a sec : The NY Jets coaching staff is NOT going to coach/train Darnold to be able to do 5-7 step drops? It's not a problem unless the Jets coaching staff MAKES IT a problem which would be if they don't do anything to have Sam Darnold know and get comfortable in doing 5-7 step drop pass attempts. So no. This isn't something to be concerned about because I trust THIS coaching staff to develop Sam Darnold than I would've trusted the past coaching staffs that include a fatass-loudmouth who cared more about the Defense than the offense. hope you're right but nothing about the Jets gives me faith that they can properly develop a QB. Darnold has mechanical issues to clean up based on the things that he actually did do in college, I don't think it can be taken as a forgone conclusion that he'll transition seamlessly to taking snaps from under center. Here are a couple of pieces that highlight some of his footwork issues. www.diehards.com/usc/sam-darnold-film-room-breaks-mold-typical-usc-quarterbackHe does great when the play breaks down but his tape from inside the pocket is pretty inconsistent. He's a bit of a project and I wouldn't mind at all if he sat for a year.

Will we ever draft an offensive lineman early? OL and pass rush have been badly neglected for a decade now. Maybe next year.

Seems like top of the second was a prime spot for OL. 4 gone in the first 7 picks. Not that Mac drafts OL early anyway.

Still think Rosen was the best prospect in this draft, fewest question marks on the field of any prospect. Darnold needs a little more seasoning and our past hasn't shown that we're very good at QB development. Optimistic but Rosen would have been my pick.

Rosen will be the best QB from this draft. I just hop Darnold doesn't suck ass.

i'll be honest I never really looked into Darnold because I felt there was no chance at him falling to us. Can someone please tell me what makes him so head and shoulders better than the other guys? There's no one part of his game that seems exceptional to me. Rosen reads defenses better, Allen has a better arm, Mayfield is more accurate. What is Darnold's "thing"?

I'm on the Teddy Bridgewater bandwagon. Done with these new jacks.

More reports coming out that Mayfield is going #1. I swear to God I'm done with this team if we take Allen with Darnold and/or Rosen on the board.
You hear me, Chris Johnson? Done!

Mike Maylock just did his mock and had the jets picking mayfield (with Rosen still on the board). Not so sure about that. Kurt Warner has them picking Rosen (with mayfield still on the board). Crazy. Should be an interesting nite! I’ll be happy with either of those two dudes. Don’t want the other 2. Finally some excitement around this freakin’ team! I honestly don't think I want any of Rosen... Darnold (Sanchez Jr)... Or Allen (Lena Dunham of QBs) I just don't know what to think but one thing is for sure, I am glad this will all be over soon. _ Oh no.. it's just getting started.

We will regret passing on Rosen for this guy.
