Guy was inactive week 1 for the pats?
He must be really good, then.
Traded for another 2nd string WR to fit right in with the Jets WR corps of second stringers. Makes sense.
Sure, a 6th rd pic- who gives a fuck. But the point remains - this guy is no savior.

Jets desperately needed a big bodied X receiver. Thomas isn’t the player he once was, but he can still contribute. Enunwa is constantly nicked up and gets zero separation. At least Thomas can still high point those contested jump balls and be a red zone threat. Not to mention the Gase connections. Not bad for a 6th rounder two years from now. I don’t think Belidick gives two shits about helping us. His team is the odds on favorite to win the Super Bowl again, the Pats are absolutely loaded at wideout and he loves stockpiling those late round picks. He doesn’t view us as a threat and why should he?
Exactly.
We are such an afterthought, we might as well be a high-school team in Belichek's eyes and not a team in their Division.

This is a culture move.
JD showing his trust in AG. AG demanding a player who plays hard, blocks, runs exemplar routes, and can help the WR room grasp the offense.
Probably well worth the 6th round pick, but my God, this is now three picks traded by JD for non starting Calibur talent... And the other two may not even be quality depth for all we know.
I still have immense trust in JD. He's safe until he's had at least 2 offseasons under his belt. But if AG fails, and that's truly JD's guy, then it raises questions about JD's judgment.
