Black Crowes Tour

I’ve been a Crowes fan since the earliy days. So I was none too happy when I heard that it was just the Robinson brothers. That said, I was still going to go. 

I got got a text Monday at noon saying tix had just gone on sale. I was in Farmingdale, so I shot home, grabbed a few things and headed to the train. It took me until 1:45 to get there. I had a friend on line and she told me it was one ticket per person. That helped because a lot of people went there thinking they could get more than one.I got one of the last 25 seats. 

I was front and center for the show. It was just 11 song. They played Shake Your Money Maker and then It’s Only Rock N Roll as an encore. Chris was in great voice and Rich is a great guitarist. They really seemed to be enjoying themselves. 

The rest of the band was guitarist Isaiah Mitchell (from Earthless), Tim Lefebvre onbass (formerly from Tedeschi Trucks Band) and Once & Future Band mem bers Joel Robinow on keyboards and drummer Raj Ojha. 

The band was good but they’ve only been together for a few weeks and they weren’t as tight as the real Crowes would be. 

But all in all, it was a good show and I had a great time.
