I let the wife handle it, told her to insure it. The subject of not going hasnt even come up because she'll blame me for not wanting to go to begin with or some shit. This will end up being my fault either way. Amalfi Coast. Havent heard it mentioned but at this rate, its going there too. United and Delta just announced they are waiving ticket changing fees to Northern Italy. Maybe the hotel would work with you too. Good luck. I appreciate it. Right now we are banking on the state dept. to change the travel alert level, then we can reschedule the whole thing. Sopne's girlfriend is currently in Switzerland but because she traveled there from Milan, she doesnt think she can fly back here yet. Kinda stuck in limbo.

Not a bad plan actually. I read that of the ~200 on Long Island not one has tested positive - they are only asked to self-quarantine (and file daily reports) due to concerns they may have had contact with the virus. Better to be prophylactic - the Chinese (authoritarian) approach has at least shown how effective quarantine can be.

I wonder if this is the company that said they would release the cure for cancer within a year and it turned out to be a hoax.

Would be incredible - espy for the BDS memes! Oh and btw it's a goddamn oral vaccine! Could not be easier...... EDIT: It is the research center that claimed to be near some sort of cancer vaccine back in Jan '19 - but the comments on the thread are treating this as reasonably legit

in JFK i was touching every surface and rubbing my eyes and standing near coughing asians would be much cooler to croak from conoravirus than to pickled liveritis no? you need to start ingesting and inhaling cannabis in all forms. Not only will you feel wonderful, and soooo relaxed, it will keep you alive. I personally know someone who was supposed to be dead over 15 years ago, no liver, drs said one drink would kill him and he should live maybe a month or so. Did not drink anymore but smoked bud instead... Still alive. 15+ years later. Tru story shakes. Get you some green bruh. At the very least you'll be feeling good. Try some edibles but go light until you know what ur dealing with bc that shit will have you tripping balls if you ain't careful.

One silver lining overall may be a new awareness of our supply chains where deliverability/access trumps price. I was happy to see Josh Hawley move quickly to highlight the need for it: www.nationalreview.com/news/josh-hawley-announces-bill-to-reduce-u-s-reliance-on-chinese-medical-supply-chain/Josh Hawley Announces Bill to Reduce U.S. Reliance on Chinese Medical Supply ChainSen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) questions U.S. Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz (not pictured) during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Capitol Hill in Washington, U.S., December 11, 2019. (Erin Scott/Reuters) Senator Josh Hawley (R., Mo.) announced on Tuesday that he will introduce a bill that would diversify the U.S. medical supply chain in order to reduce reliance on Chinese products.
“If the Coronavirus crisis makes anything clear, it’s that we need to stop relying on China for our critical medical supply chains,” Hawley wrote on Twitter. “I will introduce legislation this week to jump start that effort.”
On Monday, Hawley sent a letter to Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Dr. Stephen Hahn asking how the agency plans to deal with a potential medical supply shortage caused by the onset of the coronavirus in China.
“The recent outbreak of novel coronavirus has threatened the domestic supply of some 150 prescription drugs, including antibiotics, generics, and branded drugs. Some of these drugs do not have alternatives on the market,” Hawley wrote in the letter. “The degree to which some of our own manufacturers rely on China to produce life-saving and life-sustaining medications is inexcusable.”
On Shoring should definitely be a priority, especially for necessities like medicine, steel, etc. At least we are currently energy independent. I honestly had no idea the US imported the steel from fuckin CHINA until Trump ran. That seems like the dumbest idea ever and a whole lot of waste.

Waste and lost jobs due to China currency manipulation.
