FWIW, I've heard there is more to the story on this one and cops are not routinely running around checking people for Vax passes in NYC. |

I cant defend this. And Just like the FBI I dont want to hear about the rank and file when shit like this is going on. There are sheriffs around the country who have said they wont enforce the mandates on their officers. This makes them look no better than the politicians. |

There is a difference in their authority over a PD that works for a City. I think this was a bit of a staged event/protest. From what little you see it looks like they were not conforming and left the officers no choice. I am not really sure this started as a vax compliant. |

Yeah it is easy to sit at a keyboard and say what the cops should have done. They have families to feed. I didn't want to get the vax but once I saw my company was serious I caved like a little bitch and got it to keep my job. Not my proudest moment but the way I saw it once I got another job who is to say when they would mandate the vax so I would have given up a good job for uncertainty and not gained anything. I think people are rightfully challenging the restaurant mandates to make their point and push back against the system but the cops have to do their part to keep their job. It wasn't like the cops were beating the people or anything. There are lines that everyone has that they won't cross. If I was a cop I don't think I would risk my job to support protest theater. |
