Hey Guys.
Not really happy with the statistics and future reports of 100-250k deaths in the US.
So many people are Out of work here, shits all shut down.
People are freaking out.
Bings staying Roasted as usual, stocked up.
Drive thru Cigarettes at the Reservation is awesome. No way imma be without.
What 3 things do you have that you can't run out of? Top 3 for Binger...
1. Weed 2. Cigarettes 3. Coffee.
What about you all?
Stay safe. This sucks.

I do not know where these folks get their data from but I am skeptically of the findings for sure. The US would need to be losing between 1923 and 4808 people a week for a year to reach those targets.

I'm not trying to diminish the seriousness of the virus or it's already great human toll in the US but I was thinking the same thing. To reach the levels projected the daily/weekly number of fatalities related to the virus will really cause chaos. I have no particular insight into this, I' guess I'm like the President and trying to think positive and hope it doesn't reach the projected numbers. I guess the next few weeks will tell. Stay safe.

It's been 3 weeks on stay at home for me, and I have gained like 15 pounds! Haven't had a fresh vegetable or salad. Got caught up in the non perishables.
Hey Bing, my town has curbside weed and booze, call ahead and its waiting!! Only good thing to come out of this.

Deaths just doubled to 2,000 in 2 days. Thats bad. Obviously its an inexact science but if it double every 2 days thats...I don't want to even image that. And I hope its wrong. Even if its high, Id rather do that than undersell it.

The model basically assumes everywhere in the US is operating like New York bc that is where the bulk of the data is coming from in this country. I think it will be much less. I also think they put out this number to scare people into social distancing and stop fucking around. Either way its still better than that initial study that had like 2 million dying. Im mostly worried about whether or not weather is a factor in this bc there are a ton of very poor countries in the southern hemisphere that for whatever reason have not been hit that hard yet. When (if) they do we are just going to end up passing it back and forth with them.

Anyone that does any work with actuaries will tell you that’s not how statistical modeling takes place. In rather simple terms, there is a reason why your car insurance rates in Little Rock, Arkansas are a lot cheaper than NYC. Various pricing factors go into the model. Make, model of the vehicle. Socio-economic factors surrounding the neighborhood. Info regarding the education level of the driver. And hundreds more. Same thing here. If your theory that NY numbers were extrapolated nationwide was ever proven true, you would really have the scandal of the century.

I feel very good with the hash; I figure I'm inhaling 80% less; a little goes a long way.
