i guess they have to do what they have to do, but it sucks

My old neighbor was/is Coast Guard as a helicopter mechanic and loved it although it can be hard on a family considering he had to move every four years, but that is to be expected with military life. He was married with two young girls and it seemed to be harder on the kids rather than him and his wife. FWIW He loved being stationed on Kodiak Island and when his four years were up in FL he went right back there.....although it's never guaranteed you will get that assignment.

Blessing in disguise. Fuck them. Yeah....this. I'm a big believer in everything happens for a reason. I have no doubt he's a great eager kid who would have been a credit to our military and Nation, but I'm not sad a friends kid isnt going into harms way for ungrateful turd's in other countries.

Let me get this straight (no pun intended). If you have flaky skin you can't join but if you cut your nuts off, need hormones for life and pretend you're a woman that is acceptable on our military now?!?!? That is fucked up.
Sorry but he sounds motivated. He will do fine without them.
