robinhood let its 'customers' buy some cryptos on the app... apparently it's a huge fucking problem for those holders now because robinhood won't let them send their coins to other wallets... forcing them to "sell" which kicks in the tax burden. this REALLY fucks people that bought and were HODLing
coinbase has its issues but damn, robinhood is a fucking diseased criminal shitshow

Can you still buy theta? you can't buy theta on coinbase (yet), you need to buy a coin they list, then swap that coin for theta on an exchange like simpleswap.io it is getting harder to find/buy theta, since it's permanently capped at 1 billion tokens, and like 57% of that is tied up in staking (and growing) with all the new money coming into the market, the exchanges are slowing down... simpleswap trades used to finalize in less than a half hour, i saw some guy last night saying simpleswap customer service told him his trade was going to take like 6-7 hours if you're buying theta set up a theta wallet at thetatoken.org. free wallet. ask me any questions you come up with i'll try to answer them |

ANYONE WHO ASKS FOR YOUR PRIVATE KEY IS A THIEF, PERIOD.
3. avoid holding your coins in your wallets on the exchanges. use a hardware wallet like Trezor (ideally) or Ledger (if you have to). Do not buy your Trezor or Ledger from anyone other than direct from the manufacturer, or you will lose your stuff. 4. enjoy the fun new world of cryptos!  |

Edit: NVM I just found out why when I went to simpleswap. the wallet at thetatoken.org works GREAT with your Trezor. you don't need to keep your theta (and I'm not sure you can) at your trezor.io wallet hit me up if you need help. it's fucking easy and it is by far the safest way to keep your shit! |

Capped at only $400 which sucks. did they clear the full $400 for immediate sending, OFF of coinbase? when they hold funds they let you do unlimited swaps between coins on coinbase, but you gotta wait 4-7 days to send/swap out of coinbase |
