Many times. Saw Black Sabbath with RJD there. Saw Type O Negative there many times. Oh the mammmories My memory is seeing Crystal Ship a Doors cover band, and watching roaches crawl over the sliced fruit at the bar waiting to be tossed into mixed drinks. Ha, I remember when Crystal Ship was making the rounds of the clubs, then Zebra...

Ha, I remember when Crystal Ship was making the rounds of the clubs, then Zebra... DUH NAH NAH NH NAH NAAA NAH SPEAKS!Many a foggy night in that place. 'member once two rather large dudes next to me started to push eachother, I being an eejit, stepped between them to try to calm things down. A bouncer grabs me in a bear hug from behind and deposits me outside the front door like Fred Flintstone in the closing credits. I was like wtf. Then I went home.

Rat Race Choir was my favorite. Even went to Jersey to see them. There were rumors that they were going to get songs written by Jimmy Page and break out. Wishes and dreams, although guitarist Mark Hitt (Peekskill?), did get some credits on some small release underground metal albums

Then I went home. had a similar (but different outcome) experience further down Austin Blvd at Channel 80: me and buddy are with a female friend on Sunday afternoon. As we're walking to bar, guy grabs female friend's ass, he turns to walk away, she runs after him and kicks him in the nuts from behind. She then retreats behind the 2 of us and as the guy approaches, I feel a huge bear paw on my shoulder. Was a bouncer; said "we got this", and levels the ass-grabber. Fun times.

Ha, I remember when Crystal Ship was making the rounds of the clubs, then Zebra... I finally went to see Harpy (Harpee?); playing Yes, Beatles, prog-rock like 10cc. The musicianship was great, the songs were drippy. They had their moments. Zebra was very talented and got a record deal. Between my Steve Morse audio guitar course, and going to see Zebra + RRC...I learnt something. And Yesterday...No Quarter...Cruise Missle...sure, I showed Steve how to play it lol

Did you go to Toads Place? Many times. Saw Black Sabbath with RJD there. Saw Type O Negative there many times. Oh the mammmories I have vivid memories of working midnights in Harlem in the early 90's... around 4:00 in the morning, the streets littered with run-out-of sneakers, milk crates, shell-casings, chicken bones, over-turned baby carriages...after handling several violent assaults and shootings...the neon lights of liquor stores blinking in rythym with Type O negative blasting in the car to keep us awake as the local denizens finally wandered off to their abodes...like a lost scene from Apocolypse now. Driving home in the daylight, struggling to stay awake..I would often think "did all that really happen?". Then after a few hours of sleep, heading back in to begin again at 1130 P.M as if none of it ever happened. And then it all happened again. And worse somehow. Good times.
