Watching the movie Civil War and pleasantly surprised. The war is just a backdrop for a story about war reporters. Can I guess that they are portrayed as noble, concerned, dedicated and brave? The best of the best?
Putting that aside, is the acting decent and the script w/o the endless cliches? The trailer looks like the Call of Duty video game.

Exactly what I was expecting, which is why I was surprised. No they aren't portrayed as dedicated and brave, but more as ruthless adrenaline junkies who end up haunted by their past, ready to step over bodies to hunt the "shocking" image while staying relatively detached. Kirsten Dunst is the old jaded veteran and takes a younger version of herself under her wing. Not saying any of this is Oscar worthy, just wasn't what I was expecting and overall a good movie. EDIT: I'm insulted you would think I'd recommend a movie as you described. Meet me in the field for a duel.

Next Jets home game at halftime.

I’m sure it’ll barely resemble the true story but I’ll watch anyway because most everything else sucks.

Operation Pitting, Docuseries on the evacuation of Kaboul by the Brits.
Gut wrenching. Soldiers in the Airport, completely surrounded and totally outnumbered by civilians trying to get in, with the Talibans getting closer. Told by the soldiers who were there, who had seen battle, but weren't ready to manage this type of situation. Got PTSD just watching it.

Hollywood needs to be purged. They keep doubling down on this garbage that no one wants to see.

Hollywood needs to be purged. They keep doubling down on this garbage that no one wants to see. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to make the joker sequel a musical? The target demographic for these superhero movies are young men. They show up thinking they’re going to see the Joker do some bad ass shit and instead they see him singing and tap dancing! Hahahaha. Almost like a humiliation ritual on a wide scale.

Almost like a humiliation ritual on a wide scale. What I don't understand is how they will blame the audience and continue to hemorrhage money rather than realize the money they could make by making movies people would actually go see. You would have thought all the losses and then the big win of the new Top Gun would have been an easy lesson.

Been watching Bad Monkey on AppleTV. Pretty good, but NOT a Vince Vaughn fan at all: he's always the same annoying character. also just purchased Amazon's Great Courses subscription. Started with Quantum Mechanics (lol). about 15 episodes down the course they will talk about quantum computing and quantum cryptography. sounds like I'm a narcissist...

So I watched the first episode of Universal basic guys on Fox. It’s about two brothers who lost their job at the hotdog factory and got enrolled in a program where they received $3000 a month for universal basic income. In the first episode, one guy wants to buy his wife an exotic pet for her birthday so they go to the zoo and buy a chimp for $3000 10 minutes in and the chimp rips off the guys face.
I’m not normally a cartoon guy, but this was pretty funny. It seems like it’s right up 32 Greens Alley.

The Chimp face-ripping has to come within the first five minutes to get my attention or I'm out.

Around the six minute 26 second mark. Let it go for a little over a minute because it’s pretty funny when the guy’s wife comes home after his face has been ripped off
