Who remembers Woodyee from the Stern show? Hysterical. Although he still has some talented young staff, his show (especially during Covid) is a tough listen anymore. His politics and fear of everything permeate it. He went from bad-boy to Hollywood fan-boy who actually lisps when he interviews certain guests, he's so desperate for their approval. I listen to alot of his older stuff on Sirius.

I listen to alot of his older stuff on Sirius. Yeah his fawning over celebs has gotten unbearable. The best part of the old shows was his complete disdain for phony balcony institutions and authority figures. Followed closely by all the various wack pack and hangers on folks. When he first came to Boston they ran the show at 11:00 at night. WBCN was still hanging on to the outdated notion that only local shows could get morning ratings. I laid in bed with head phones, Mrs. FF2 mad because my laughter was shaking the bed. My college roommate from Philly used to talk about Stern and I thought it sounded lame. I was addicted after first listen. Sad to see what he’s become.
