Picking their brains? For CTE? I thought that came later. He'd be looking in the wrong place to find Sanchez's brain.
It's still lodged in Brandon Moore's ass.

Sanchez to me remains an enigma. Granted he imploded after playing well enough to take the Jets deep into the playoffs his first two years. It was only after the Jets started losing some core quality players that he began to embarrass himself and the Jets. I think he was overrated coming out of college and always needed to be surrounded by really good players like he had a USC. Once the Jets began to lose those type of players he was exposed. It would of been interesting to see what would of become of him had the Jets made the right draft moves, the correct trades, kept the right personnel in place and above all provided the proper coaching to let him develop. Would of, should of, could of..........

Sanchez is an example of how a mediocre QB can look good with a good team around him.

Just imagine if Sam had the same Weapons that Mark did (and had Rex instead of Adam Gase). I think he would've gotten the team to at least One SuperBowl appearance instead of the two AFC Title game appearances that Mark did.

You could be right. I wouldn’t be surprised. But the jury is still out for me on Sam. I was admittedly ecstatic when we got him. I saw flashes of good play but I also saw a QB that looked clueless many times even when he had time in the pocket. Gase is a historically bad coach & that has to be taken into account.
I’ll be curious to see how he does with Carolina. But one thing that I find very damning is how few GMs had any interest in him despite the low cost to get him. That lack of interest says a lot about how the league feels about him.

True but at the same time, there are QBs like Zach Wilson, Justin Fields, Trey Lance, and Mac Jones in the draft for teams to be attracted to anyway.
Plus, the whole 5th year option was a Non-starter for any team (save Carolina) to be interested.
Let's say the Jets made him available the previous season, I'm sure there would be a few more teams interested.
We should take into account the timing of this.

I agree about the 5th year option being in play big time. But last season also added a horrendous year to his resume. But if he was highly regarded still, he would be a steal even with the 5th year option. Instead, teams felt that he could well be broken and the market was cold.
I would not be shocked if Sam improved with Carolina. But the GM & HC sure aren’t giving him any vote of confidence. First they said that they would pick up his 5th year & then Came the of drafting a QB by the HC & now the GM says that they won’t decide about the 5th year until after the draft.
Could just be draft chatter. We’ll see. But unless they told Darnold that they were doing that, Sam sure can’t feel great about the situation.
Well... except that he doesn’t have that googly eyed asshat as a head coach anymore.

I’m sure Sam is pleased as a pig in shit to be away from the NYJ shitshow, even if for 1 year, regardless of any perceived slight in CAR. Sam feels fucking fantastic. No question.

It's almost certainly draft chatter to get a team below them to panic and try to move up to #8 while giving up some good shit to Carolina. It would be the height of idiocy to draft a QB right after trading for one. (unless Fields is there, as I wouldn't blame them for taking him. In which case, Sam is fucked so he better hope Fields doesn't drop)Plus it's not like Carolina is dealing with a 35-year-old washed up Vet here whose only goal is to keep the seat warm for the next young QB. They already got their young QB that is, as far as I'm concerned, a STILL UNDEVELOPED (there was no development with Gase...only regression) young(23) QB but with 3 years of NFL experience. If they drafted a QB, it would cause all sorts of QB controversy where the first INT Sam throws, the fans will start chanting for (insert drafted QB here) and that would be very unfair to Sam as he once again would not be getting a fair shake (but in a different way). He must feel like that guy in Shawshank Redemption with his arms outstretched toward the sky with the rain coming down.
Free at last.

Sam Darnold - the only man who crawled thru a river of shit (Googley eyed Jets crap) and came out clean on the other side. All this Zach Wilson talk and bullshit tho is making me mad. The dude is prob not gonna b that good - they haven’t upgraded their line or skill positions (especially WR) that much so he’s gonna stink. Ryan Leaf part deux. F it all - Jets r bottom feeders in the AFC east now and forever. Bills, dolphins and even the pats r getting great while the Jets r stinking bad. Who cares. Drop dead rotten horrible Jets. But maybe Saleh will b ok and get them to 5 whole wins. Prob not but who knows. We can dream. I hate them. Zach Wilson isn’t as ugly as Sam shrek Darnold but he’s funny looking too. More of an elf then a shrek. Either way he’s wierd looking. The Jets need non cartoon looking players to b good. 😛😂😀 nome is the only answer bros. Let them leave!
