NYSDOH just blinked on the booster mandate for HCWs. Unfortunately, it's well after myself and many of my coworkers were coerced into getting the booster, many yesterday.
Timeline is, my union put out a press release on Tuesday that many of us didn't see until yesterday or today. In it, they soft-shoed their opinion that the booster was a bad idea and should be shelved as it stands now. Amazingly, they managed to email all of us about it and many other announcements today. Then, the awful Hochul gets the nomination for D the next day. And lo and behold, the DOH then announces that the mandate is shelved for at least 90 days. They do this on a Friday, naturally. And strangely, the tenor of their press release is similar to that of my union.
So, those of you in LI; tell me about Astorino and Zeldin. I'm leaning towards the former. These other motherfuckers need to go, asap.
