not starting this to have a new place to argue pro or anti jab
i know some of you guys have gotten the jab and have family members that have as well, youse are the guys i want to hear from
are you still cool with the decision? have you and your family members been totally ok? or have there been new health issues that you suspect may be related?
totally serious question, looking for firsthand accounts from the guys that can speak the best to it: my pretend internet friends that actually got the jab. it's becoming a pressure packed topic in my family and as funny as it may be this is the first place i can think of to cut through all the noise

Myself and lots of immediate family members got Pfizer or JnJ and have had no issues. Minor side effect I had though was felt like I had a mild hangover for half a day after a jab. Good chance I could have been mildly hungover though. Sound kind of normal no?

Wifne and I both got J&J a few months ago, no issues at all. How did we choose it? It is a traditional vaccine versus the mRNA technology which I'm not comfortable with. We had no problem with the alleged lower efficacy for the J&J, it was that or nothing.
Since then, we've lived basically normal lives, travelled, flown, taken trains, socialized in large un-social distanced groups.
I dont question anyone's decision to get or not get it or which one they choose. As a matter of fact I'm furious that my 15 year old daughter who had Covid already may miss out on things because we havent made her get the vax. She's not eligible for the J&J and I'm not forcing the others on her.
Her natural immunity should be way more than enough. Documentation that she had it already should be her "passport" as well as anyone else who had it.

Not as of now, but it is my understanding (take it for what its worth) that they are still studying the data and it looks like they are going to recommend a booster at some point. Apparently a booster increased anti-bodies by 9 fold in those studied so far. I'd do it if it comes to that. Edit: I post all of this ^^^^^ knowing its possible that Jetworks might drop the hammer of God on me for taking the vax at all, but I'll be 60 in a few years and had a nasty bout with pneumonia a few years ago.

Of those of you who have gotten it have any of you gotten an antibody test? I am curious about this because my daughter who had Covid got an antibody test and scored 177.3. Supposedly a 0.8 means you have immunity of some level. Anecdotally I have heard of people who got the vax but didn't have Covid scoring in the 3 to 8 range.

I got moderna back in May. no major issues other than sore arm.
Don’t regret it. I am VERY right wing but I’m not an anti vax person.

Not at all. I fully support anyone choosing to get any vaccine, I just provide them with what I know to be information that they are missing. That said.... As a result, I may be losing my job due to Cuomo's outgoing mandate requiring healthcare workers be vaccinated. As Green and you pointed out, natural immunity should count for a lot, and it's being completely ignored. I had Covid during the height of it, and was able to bravely continue treating patients as I was confident I was immune. This, while many of my co-workers were in histrionics about having to gear up and treat them because there was no vaccine. Now many of those co-workers won't even offer up support for those like me.

i'm sure i had it in march of 2020. wifne too. we did not get tested but my business partner did, we all came down sick at the same time same symptoms after working the same large casino party together. he got tested and one of my dealers got it too and tested positive
doc told me and my wife by phone that it sounded like we had it, didn't recommend going in for the test. again this was march 2020 the shit was still flying into/off of the fan
now they won't allow me to test for antibodies without having had the jab, which doesn't make sense at all
