This team is cursed this year. Finally finish up a 13-game road trip to start the season. Opening of the new building tonight, and it seems like half the team is out with Covid. Lee, Bailey, Beau, Pelech, Greene, Johnston. And Pulock out with injury. Going to need Sorokin/Varlamov to steal one tonight. The only silver lining to this shitstorm is we get to see Salo. Without Pelech, Greene and Pulock, you or I may have been called up if we happened to be anywhere near Bridgeport tonight. Hope he plays well. Would be a huge lift if they can find a way to win tonight. I know its early, but I feel like the season is hanging in the balance right now. |

I know this is very cliché but we just have to play one game at a time. My biggest concern is our cup window closing because we have so many older vets on our roster. |

Due to my schedule, I didn’t get to watch the game, only listen to a little here and there on the radio call. but speaking of cursed - first goal scored couldn’t even celebrate properly because it had to be reviewed… |

From what I’ve read about the game last night, the injection of youth in to the roster did pretty well. trotz loves his vets but I do think the yutes need more ice time. edit: re: vets not getting it done - the 4th line…. Hate to say it being it’s still November, but I don’t see them overcoming the hole they have dug for themselves. Division is too strong, and we likely will have a couple more Division games with a partial AHL lineup. 13 game road trip followed by this Covid stretch was too much. They will need like a 10 game winning streak in Division to get back in contention.

Not like they weren’t home for a couple weeks during the trip. |
