1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State
2. Tennessee Titans -- Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon
3. Jacksonville Jaguars -- Leonard Williams, DE, USC
4. Oakland Raiders -- Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama
5. Washington Redskins --Randy Gregory, DE, Nebraska
6. New York Jets -- Shane Ray, DE, Missouri
Waiting for heads to explode if that one goes down.....

ehh, anyone who knows the stock this year's head shouldn't explode. I'd rather reach a little on Parker/Gurley/Flowers etc, but Shane Ray is no joke, and with Babin, Pace and company set to move on, Ray fills a big need and may end up being Bowles's signature guy on Defense.
I would firmly expect rounds 2,3,4 to be offense related though.

We have not had a legit pass rusher since Abe and Ray is a beast. He completely took over a couple of games for Missouri this year -- more than anyone else, he was probably the guy that kept my Bulldogs from going up against Bama for the SEC championship. Guy has incredible speed and quickness.

Last year was so inexcusable. Another defensive selection in the first round would be disappointing to most, myself included. Ray's just one those guys where you'd get over it fast. Von Miller swagger.

Would Ray have played with Sheldon?

Would Ray have played with Sheldon? Yes, he would have played with Sheldon as a freshman -- but he was not a big part of their defensive rotation until his sophmore season.

Only thing good I could say about that pick is that it would be good for site traffic.

If the draft fell this way, I would select Andrus Peat for the Jets.

Can't say I'd be pissed about taking Ray if Winston, Mariota, Cooper and Gregory are all of the board.
If you can't trade down, then I don't see what else you could do except maybe slightly reach for DeVante Parker or Kevin White.

If the draft fell this way, I would select Andrus Peat for the Jets. There's increasing chatter that Peat won't even go in the Top 20. His upside is immense but he's raw as shit. How pissed would people be if we drafted Peat at #6 overall and then he's not even ready to contribute as a starter right away? I get that you'd be drafting him as the eventual heir to Brick at LT, but if you're taking an OL that high in the draft then he better at least be able to play OG or RT at a high level from Day 1. I'd rather just designate Mike Iupati as our top priority in FA. We're going to have a shitload of money to spend and Iupati is one of the select few free agents that would be worthy of a longterm, big money deal.

I've been dying for us to go offense in the 1st for years, but I'd have no problem with Ray. Bowles likes to bring pressure, he's going to need someone that can get to the QB.
