funniest shit on stern back when stern wasn't a complete fucking cocksucking cuck rihsb Agreed. About Stern too, who is a pathetic old frightened bitter queen. Weird, I was loading up Bob Saget Podcasts when he died, and had been following Gilberts podcast for quite a while. This, with Norm also passing...really sucks.

Heard a little bit of Stern talking about Gilberts death. He sounded a little cavalier and dismissive of a dude who brought such hilarity to his show back in the day before he banned him. I think ultimately Stern is jealous of the real talented comics since he never was one himself; He had a great idea for re-imagining radio, but within that, he needed great comedy writers and guests to prop his lame act up. Even now, with only him and Robin, its clearly lacking a comedic edge and sounds like two frightened, old, sniveling libs now trying to appeal to the Hollywood dregs they used to mock. I tune in mainly for the old shows which ironically just showcase how far the show has fallen from its heyday.

Is that a "Screamer of the Week" t-shirt? Impressive

I won tickets to see Gilbert at a comedy club many years ago. Chris rock was the opening act. He had only been at SNL for a year or two.
I didn’t know much about Gottfried other than the fact that he had that rather annoying voice. Certainly wouldn’t say I liked him but I don’t think I disliked him either.
There were four of us and we decided that we would stay for all of Chris rocks show and then see how Gilbert was. If he sucked, we were just going to get up and leave. I certainly didn’t have high hopes.
Rock wasn’t bad but he certainly wasn’t great.
Then Gilbert came out. He was fucking hysterical from start to finish. Definitely a bit more risqué than I thought it would be. Funny fucking guy.

If you like listening to Podcasts, check out "Gilbert Gottfrieds Amazing Colossal Podcast", especially any episode with a comedian. There's also a great documentary about him; He was a truly eccentric genius. Its amazing he ever got married and had kids.
