Dude has been a racist, attention-seeking moron since I first became aware of him over 35 years ago. Gun-free zones in Manhattan that only effect legal permit holders (who commit virtually zero percent of the crime), replacing Transit Cops with armed security guards that have zero incentive to get involved, all while minorities suffer the consequences at levels not seen since the 80's. Cant get out of this shithole state fast enough.

From working at 'Toga in the '80's, I fell in love with Lark Street Tavern, and 288 Lark. Having a jam to go to would cut the single-ness a touch. Can I get a condo cheap up there? Asking for shaklin (black shakin) I go up to Albany a few times a year; The Capitol region itself is not unlike NYC/SF as far as being filled with skells/homeless/druggies. A democratic plantation, if you will, but I know you wont. Parts of the city are virtual zombie-towns. I'm sure there are nicer areas in the surrounding areas but I cant speak to that. Bottom line, I would rent/buy NOTHING before getting boots on the ground and checking out what you're in for. Sorry to hear about the split. |

I used to go up to Albany for the MCAA hockey Regional Playoffs and Finals (before they became the Frozen Four) and would stay way outside the city. There seems to be a lot of much nicer areas around the town, The only thing we did in the city was to go to the game. As David Letterman once said in a monologue: "They're (the State) thinking of building a high speed rail line from NYC to Albany (big pause). Why?"

The terrible 30s can be tough on kids of separated parents. Just make sure they know it is all their fault. |
