He survived the surgery and is back in the ICU. The surgeon said he's probably going to be there for at least 2 more weeks, though I was a little freaked out when he talked to me after surgery so I may have misheard. I'll get more information tomorrow, I hope.

That's great news. Two weeks in ICU sounds rough but I'm sure you'll both pull through
