An article from TWSN advocating reuniting Rex with the Jets: The New York Jets are without a head coach and are in search for someone who has experience in New York, has experience in the postseason as they are running out of time on the Aaron Rodgers experiment. The perfect option would be the return of Rex Ryan, the most successful head coach for the Jets since their 1969 Super Bowl Victory. Rex Ryan has the most postseason wins as a Jets Head Coach in history with a measly 4. But that 4 is more impressive when it was Mark Sanchez at Quarterback and resulted in two AFC Championship appearances in a row. The Jets are desperate to become relevant and create a sustainable winning team over the past decade. So desperate they traded for Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams to help save the team. The real answer to save them is to bring in an old football head and create a tough football team and program. The Jets need consistency, toughness, discipline and that’s exactly what Rex Ryan would do. The 2024 NFL season has been so wild so far, if you are just a disciplined team and don’t make too many mistakes you are probably a .500 team. The Jets are currently 2-5. Rex Ryan has spoken out about how he feels like he has some unfinished business in the NFL. There had been conversations about him becoming a defensive coordinator for the Broncos or the Cowboys in recent years. It may be time to stop hiring the barely 30 years old coaches who are quickly rising to the top, and maybe hire a seasoned experienced coach that can control a culture and a team and not just create cool offensive plays. “For me, as a coach, you hire me. Why? Because I’m going to create that culture; that team is more important than the friggin individual.” Ryan said. “When the team wins, everybody wins. It ain’t about the name on the back; Its about the name on the front of the damn jersey.” Rex Ryan has recently openly lobbied for the Jets position. He clearly wants it, and Jets Owner Woody Johnson should get the deal done now. Before one of these other tortured teams reach out first.

i wouldn't count on Sean McVay being available. Dammit. Rams could win the west and more. Darnold has NO interceptions this year, who knew Both happy for Darnold and cursing him at the same time, throw Geno Smith in too. Who's fucking next to make the jets look like fools, Zach? My Google App on the iPhone had this Who else could the Broncos sell off? According to ESPN's long-time Broncos reporter Jeff Legwold, Denver could send one of the team’s backup quarterbacks —Jarrett Stidham or Zach Wilson — to another team. Bo Nix has rendered one of them expendable. worth watchiing?

jetsxfactor.com/2024/10/25/ny-jets-hater-aaron-rodgers-cancer/On Thursday, ESPN radio host, former New York Giant, and notorious New York Jets hater Chris Canty described quarterback Aaron Rodgers as a “cancer.” “The last couple of years in Green Bay, we suspected Aaron Rodgers could be a little bit toxic, especially with a young team,” Canty said. “I had no idea that it would be this bad. I mean, this guy is like a cancer that has metastasized within the New York Jets organization. And I don’t know how they fix it. As Rodgers continues to emerge as one of the most polarizing figures in sports, analysts like Canty will always aim to take shots at him. Canty was not the only ESPN analyst this week to criticize Rodgers. Dominique Foxworth and Jeff Saturday trashed the 40-year-old for him “sending messages” through “The Pat McAfee Show,” where Rodgers makes a weekly appearance despite telling his teammates to “stop listening to the media.” Following the Jets’ crushing Week 6 loss to the division-rival Buffalo Bills, Rodgers called out wide receiver Mike Williams on McAfee’s show for running the wrong route. “I have a lot of love and respect for Mike,” Rodgers said. “He’s done some nice things for us, but in that play, he wasn’t in the right spot. You can make more of that if you want to, but we should all be held to a standard.” While Rodgers undoubtedly has much love for his teammates, in a season clouded with controversy, his words seem to do as much damage as the losses piling up on the Jets’ record.

I heard Canty say this (I like Canty). It was like a punch in the gut because I already felt this but wasnt quite trusting my gut. Rodgers is an anchor pulling our younger players to the bottom of the sea. I'd like to see his bestie Adams address this issue like he addressed the issue of zero enthusiasm on the sidelines when Breece busted a huge run. But he wont. And rinse repeat on another lost Jets season.

"Can't let superstars put roofies in our Stadium Cups; still reeling from the Namath roofies..." and some such. We care and it shows lol

Burned 3 TO's in the 1st qtr to avoid Delay of Game penalties. Don't think I've ever seen that, and with a 4 Time MVP at the helm. Even Zach was better. After the game says they were slow coming out of the huddle...FFS
I didn't want to see it, because he says everything like a leader, but the guy thinks his shit don't stink. Like he's waiting for his magic to arrive. Do your fucking job.

We all thought Rodgers would fix everything. The problem is I think the players and coaches thought the same thing. The delay of games is a result of running the entire offense through Rodgers. He has to adjust the protections, then adjust the routes. Thats what he wanted so he has to own it.
That said, the last two games our defense has shit the bed. And Ulbrich is in way over his head. Doesnt mean we shouldnt have fired Saleh. Saleh was in over his head. It just should have been done in the offseason.
Rodgers hasnt lived up to expectations. I think his arm is fine. I think the Achilles is fine. He has something wrong with his knee and/or ankle. Also the beating he took earlier in the season has sped up his clock. Father time, becoming a Jet. All of the above.
Bringing Rex back isnt the answer. Do you idiots remember how it ended with Rex? This team has broken our spirits and brains. Rex deserved to be fired. Geno deserved to go. Sam deserved to go. So did Zach.
I see people talking about the Redskins and how they changed owners. Their 100 owners have nothing to do with their success. They got the QB pick right. The Texans owner had his pastor running the team for fucks sake. And they wanted to draft Bryce Young. They lucked into Stroud.
Like I said in the other thread, this isnt even a curse. Its beyond.
