Went for a late morning hike yesterday as it was a beautiful day outside and didn't catch the first half of the game. Only parts I saw from there onwards was the stuff they showed on Red zone.
My day was infinitely better because of it. I suggest you all do the same. You owe the jets absolutely nothing

We would not have had Hackett as the offensive coordinator either. Rogers wasn’t happy with a head coach that got him two MVPs late in his career. He’d rather do what he wants than be successful. David Carr wanted to come here because he wanted to be somewhere where he was wanted. He was not gonna demand his own personal offensive coordinator or rock the boat. At that point we already hired Hackett so Carr would have had Hackett as an OC. Hackett and Saleh were going out to lunch with Carr during the recruiting if you remember.
Rodgers wasnt happy with the front office in Green Bay. They drafted Love when he felt they should have been helping the team in the short term.
Rodgers hasnt lived up to expectations. And this year is a knock on his legacy. But he isnt in Top 10 problems with this team now.
I’m pretty sure hiring Hackett was a condition Aaron Rodgers put on the Jets. Just like his dud wide receiver buddy.

I agree they should take 2025 off or move to the UFL for a season to reset. How many years out is Arch Manning? Hes gonna play at least 2 more years.
I wonder if his grandpa would let him come here after what Parcells did with Peyton.
No one would know who he is/was if Parcells drafted him. He'd a died on the vine just like all the rest. No way the Manning family allows him to go to the Jets, even if he is picked number one. I bet he stays in school.

I’m pretty sure hiring Hackett was a condition Aaron Rodgers put on the Jets. Just like his dud wide receiver buddy. He was. But he was also already hired when they were courting Carr. So he would have been Carr's OC. Ergo the offense would have sucked in 2023 no matter the QB.

What I don't understand is how can they not get calls in on time. You saw Rodgers yelling "NOW!" at Downing yesterday. That is not Rodgers fault. I am not talking about calling the right play, just getting the call in fast enough for the team to line up and motion properly. It is unforgivable and it seems to only be getting worse.

Todd Downing need to move off the sideline and be up in the booth and get the big picture of the plays he is calling. He said he likes to be on the sidelines to talk to the players but that's what they made headsets for if he feels he personally needs to communicate with a player rather than relaying a question through a sideline coach.

I read that they give Rogers three plays, and then when he gets to the line of scrimmage based on what the defense shows him is when he finally decides on which play to run. I don’t know if that’s true but if it is, I can see where it’s taking a while to get three plays in

With today’s technology, all the coaching staffs are looking at overhead pictures of the entire field 10 seconds after it happens. I prefer to have all the coaches on the field, talking to the players during the game.
